Short review (with my limited vocabulary):
Camera, narrative and sound are in perfect sync. Story is shocking. Music is epic quality.
First 5 episodes will hook you, but episodes 6 and 7 are very intense and filled with great suspense. I was really thrilled.
Episode 8 is an acting masterpiece. I was really terrified at finale, as the actor was doing his part with a real madman passion.
This is a MUST to see for every ED fan.
I assumed this thread had probably died, so I am very glad I came back to look at the forum today. All of these recent posts mean a lot to me, but especially ExoForce’s review. I think you are spot on about episodes 6 through 8 being the highlights ... after all, this was my first attempt at making anything like DarkenSpace, and I was learning as I went (in every respect: camera work, scripts, music, etc). So I believe the quality increased throughout the duration of the series, and I believe it ended at its high point.
Even though I haven’t made any more videos over the last eight months, I’ve still been gaining knowledge as I have been revamping my music studio to be more capable of soundtrack production, at a higher rate and with better quality. Now that the revamp thereof is nearing its end and I’m beginning to think more seriously about new video series, it’s very encouraging to see that there are still people discovering and appreciating DarkenSpace after this time away.
One other thing: sometime in the not-too-distant future it is going to become substantially easier for me to make another video series like this. But I shouldn’t say anything more about that just yet.
