Update 10.2
Excited? Anxious? Can't bear the wait? You've come to the right place. Join the countdown and discuss what we know so far about the DLC and free update.
Buildings:
"Complete with a whole range of new buildings like the Visitor Center and Aviary..."
Several buildings have been revealed, and it's safe to assume more are coming (namely amenities).
Arrival helipad. A sign can also be seen in the trailer.
Visitor center
Aviary
Creation labs
Raptor pen
Emergency bunker
Fans have also noticed the shadow of a reskinned substation in the aviary screenshot, and what appears to be a new path. Another new path can be seen in screenshot of the JP restroom.
Attractions:
"The pack will feature Jurassic Park-inspired attractions including the classic Main Gates and Jurassic Park Tour..."
The gate can be seen in the DLC trailer. The building has yet to be revealed. The tour vehicle (Ford Explorer) can be seen in the aviary screenshot and is presumably an alternative skin.
Enclosures:
Two (possibly three) different fences have been confirmed. The spiked variant from the third film can be spotted behind the stegosaurus in a press release screenshot. Notice the lower part is chain-linked to prevent small animals from crossing. The new California Redwood can be seen in the species trailer. The live feeder has also been reskinned.
Skins:
"The pack will feature Jurassic Park-inspired attractions including the classic Main Gates and Jurassic Park Tour, as well as legacy skin variants, such as the 1993 Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor and more."
Several skins have been confirmed. The press release included images titled T-Rex 1993, Stegosaurus 1997, Raptor 1993, Brachiosaurus 1993 and Parasaurolophus 2001"
Sharp-eyed fans have also been quick to spot the Brachiosaurus from the third film in the first image.
Animals:
"New dinosaurs such as the Compsognathus and Pteranodon will also be introduced in the pack."
The compy was confirmed by the devs to be free-roaming. We have several shots of the Pteranodon in the aviary.
Gameplay:
"With seven new story missions featuring characters voiced by the original cast, including Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), players will be challenged to repair and restore the destroyed park and open its iconic gates to the public. ...fans will be able to replay all existing Jurassic World Evolution challenge and sandbox levels with a 1993-inspired overlay and inventory."
Update 10.2
"Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park will launch alongside a free content update, which includes changes to the ranger interactions with dinosaurs, guest toilet needs, and general fixes and tweaks for one of the top-selling simulation games of the year."
It appears the free update will introduce destructible ranger vehicles. Notice the dented door and bumper, as well as the sparks, in the following screenshot. Restrooms will form separate buildings, with toilet needs being added to the management view.
I hope everyone is as excited as I am.
