Hey, I haven't really played online much yet, would anyone be interested in grouping up? I've got an Asp and a T7 and I'm looking to make the money to get a Vulture.
I'm up for trading but I'm also really interested in getting my rank with the factions up, as I haven't done that yet. If anyone wants to group up and get bonus stuff while we get ranks that'd be cool! (Also I'm not 100% on how to rank up, I've heard conflicting things)
Anyway I'm Pinworm in game, feel free to add me. If I don't reply it's because sometimes I watch Netflix while I trade, or play on my Nvidia Shield where typing is hard
you can find plenty of players on teamspeak that would probably team up with you, I know we have a sub forum on our own forums for players wanted to form trade wings and bounty wings.

So glad I found this group! I've not played anything but Solo since the first time I tried open. Which ended in me being killed over and over by the same commander while in an unarmed T6 with no cargo. Gonna send a request when I get home from work in a few hours!
I think that's why many come to our group, im on all evening so ill be keeping an eye on the join requests.

I joined up yesterday, my friend Dahak was already in... we spent a pleasant evening blasting away in an RES, both worried we might attack a fellow player, but as yet we've not seen any of you! Hopefully we will soon though. My long term goals include a trip to Sagittarius A*, and fingers crossed we'll brighten up the lonely journey by bumping into each other on the way there and back again too...

A human player will always have "Cmdr" in his name when you scan his/her ship so you shouldn't destroy one by mistake, I guess friendly fire is always a possibility though in the heat of battle. I am in and around Duamta and Groombridge, found a really good trade route. I am really wanting to find a station nearby that sells 4 Class Frame Shift Drives. Struggling to get my Cobra one updated
That's the worry! In RES zones, it's way too easy for an NPC to fly through your beam laser and turn everyone against you; I was checking every target for the CMDR name, but I take my PvE only responsibilities very seriously, and was so, so nervous about even just tickling one!
As for Rank 4 engines, I normally filter the map for High Tech systems and find them there. I don't know that part of the galaxy though to say for certain if any near you have one, sorry.

NPC's appear as plain shapes in your scanner, while players appear as hollow shapes. It's quicker to identify players that way. Also, when you enter a RES or CW, open the comms window and switch to the tab that shows people and friends. If there are other players in the same instance, you'll see them listed in a subcategory at the very top of the list.
