Seems like you guys had a blast. Sorry I didn't join you, I was online but didn't think I was ready to go to Open. I'm pretty low on Credits barely able to pay insurance after I bought and semi-setup my Asp Explorer.
Still grinding Witchhaul-Zaonce Rare run. Now I need to buy my 6B Scoop and 5A AFMU which will total about 15,000,000 CR. I'm considering going to Sothis and Ceos to do the missions there but hesitant cause I heard sometimes people wait an hour or so for the good missions to show up...I can't afford that much waiting where as with the Rare runs I can get about 1.5-2 million credits guaranteed an hour or so.

Last night whilst in open, there were no issues with idiot players or anything like that. You will find that 99.9% of players will salute you or something like that when they see you. Remember, everyone is flying a ship they have paid for with their own cash. Not many want to start a fight and loose! There are a few who roleplay as pirates but a lot of them are honourable and will let you go on your way after you have dropped a little cargo for them.
As for Sothis and Ceos, a little tip is to get the missions you want and then log out and go into open. Check the missions and then log out and go into solo. Rinse and repeat. You will find that more missions will appear. I'm thinking of heading over that way now myself so I may see you there.

I took a little trip, 1400 LY directly vertical from Diaguandri yesterday and got some awesome views looking down across the galactic plane.
I got as far as I could and landed to grab some more.
Also took the Vulture out for some bounty hunting around Gateway and protecting some asteroid miners too.

Alright I'll make the 400 LY trip to Sothis this week and see what missions I can find. I need to make about 15-20 million credits and then I'm off on a deep space expedition.

Dell or Iconoclypse will reveal the details soon, so keep an eye on this thread, Inara or Discord. I think it is due to leave before 2.2 hits, but I quite fancy a fighter bay for the trip..... With a big jump range, it'll be easy to catch up.

OK AFMU - ditch (or get a smaller one); Fuel scoop - 6B! Seriously? I know others will tell you otherwise, BUT my AspX has a 3A. Now considering that 'Go West' is a 90kylie round trip, time is on you're side. Let me put it another way - Bigger scoop, get the quicker BUT get there quicker, lose all that lovely carto data in between... It's a trade-off, and, in fairness, I will almost certainly get a bigger scoop for the mission, but a 6B? Nah! Somewhere in between.
Also, rescue services will be on hand for EMERGENCIES (not, I got impatient, I'm a numpty, I can't scoop, I'm a muppet, Wah, something else, etc

I nearly rolled off my couch!I think I can spend the Credits on the stuff...my biggest decision right now is whether to bring 8T cargo rack or not! I can't decide!
