I have the impression that these weeks‘s thargoids are much more aggressive towards the player.

Yesterday I fought at FNS Varian Scott and all three interceptors attacked me (1 Medusa, 2 Cyclops), despite a dozen AX-ships and the Battlecruiser. When I tried to seek cover for rebooting near the Battlecruiser, the Medusa still harassed me and followed me when I tried to flee. FSD got destroyed (do interceptors target single modules?) and had the misfortune with an exploding scout nearby (caustic damage) and got eventually killed by the medusa which followed me up to 22 km away from the battlecruiser. Was in an 6000 Mj, 6000 Hull 2 class 7 SCB Vette 😬. Lost 170 mio bonds.😔

Are you sure with bonds? My ship was destroyed many times in this battle and I still had my bonds. Problem with big ship can be that you are priority target for interceptors. I fight only with Krait and as soon as I keep distance and temperature under 20% they ignore me almost all time. It is as good as bad because I have sometime problem to make interceptor follow me to some place where I/we finish it.

Yes, I am on PS4 Horizons. Bonds are lost when killed.

Fought with that Vette last week and got targeted often, too. But they did not follow me if I got past the capital ship.

Now I understand and you are right. They changed that combat bonds game mechanics in Odyssey. Try get temperature of your Vette under 20% to interceptor stop follow you.

Ok did a Fed high to hydra stage again but it was a slog fest with the capital ship running away as well...
2 bas and 1 Cyclops are dead but 2 hydras are too many to solo im out of there..

Flying a cutter and no issues. I do know if I punch them enough they'll turn on me so I save that for when I'm ready for a good push to take off a heart or finish one off.

Now, I have seen where the npcs apparently run out of ammo and go to the cap ship and just sit there. I've also seen that the npcs fall for being dragged several KM away from the cap and get picked off one by one.

I'm not in there to solo 3 interceptors at a time, so I gauge my chances and take an opportunity to leave if things are going south.

On the other hand there were a few times when the npcs fought near the cap ship (luck I suppose) and we were all kicking thargoid interceptor butt (do they have those?) pretty harshly.

I can't quite tell, but it looks like ship board fighters aren't actually shooting in these ax czs. Mine seem to just fly around a lot.

Alright so this time I assigned her a target and followed her around. Nope, didn't fire once, just zipping around collecting a paycheck.
