Anyone observing this:

I transferred my GardGauss to the Carrier where my AX Python is docked. Currently 1x GGauss, 3x AX Multi, 1x RemoteFlak.
Tried to exchange RemoteFlak for the transferred GGauss -- couldn't do it. I could exchange it for the other Gauss or the Multis, but not the HP2 RFlak.
Stored the Flak, still not possible to transfer GGauss to ship without exchanging it for one of the others.
Stored a Multi, now I COULD install the GGauss to the HP3 of the Multi.
Swapped the GGauss on HP3 to the HP2 of the stored Flak, went well. Now I had 2 GGauss, 2 Multis.
Tried to transfer the Multi back to it's HP3 ... NOTHING! Still could only exchange it for one of the other weapons.
???
The absurd thing is ... I CAN install the (Class 2 ) RFlak on the HP3, but I cannot re-transfer the Multi originally installed there.
Er ...
??????

EDIT: I forgot that GGauss also counts towards the AX limit m(

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when in groups at the Cap Ship CZs , players figure 8 attack runs on the interceptor pretty much ignoring the swarm since the AI has difficulty prioritizing player targets with this strategy.

Swarms are inactive in HIP 22460, be it AX CZ or NHSS. They don't attack at all.
This is from last week CG:
They don't seem to work properly anywhere in HIP 22460, in any of the AX CZs or NHSSs. If you get hyperdicted on the way in they work fine, because when you fall out of witch space you're still outside HIP 22460 (in the system you were jumping from).

The Capital-ship-CZ-combat is great. It’s thrilling, challenging and looks fantastic. So I hope Salvation will fail… 🤡

I tried several Ships - Krait, Challenger, FDL, Vette - and found out, that for these CZ the Vette ticks the most boxes for me. It’s tanky, nimble enough when fighting with Basilisks, and in contrast to the other ships better suited when dealing with caustic damage. 2 Gauss and 2 Salvation Shards is my setup. The Shards shred Cyclops, have much ammo and are also good for exerting the hearts of Basilisks and Medusas from a distance, then destroy the hearts with the Gauss‘.
I feel the same about the Vette. Actually, trying out other ships sounds like a plan (*dusting off a Cutter) . Thank you for inspiring me

I need to change my previous statement about the Corvette.
Yesterday, i outfitted a Cutter for AX with Salvation Shards and took it out to a little flower trip. Compared to the Corvette the Cutter felt absolutely easy mode. Decided spontanously to stay for the Hydra and made my first non-Gauss Hydra Kill.

Corvette can do it ofc too if you know what you are doing + the hardpoint placement of the 2 smalls and 2 Huges together is very strong + Size 8 Distributor is insane ... but with a Cutter you can disengage whenever you want to synth/repair while still having the tankiness and all these juicy internals.

I am ready for week 3

Thanks, I thought about it too. I have a rotten Combat Cutter in the dry dock, that I hardly fly, because I don’t like it in normal PVE. But I think I will give it a try.

Sounds like you got a sweet AX cutter build there, got a link to it?

The 4 empty weapon slots are 4x Medium Salvation Shards (not regular Guardian Shards) - they are not in Coriolis.

But it isn't anything special, I am sure you can find that kind of build for every ship over there at AXI or so (though typically with Gauss)

And with a Cutter it is much much easier evade a gank. I had my fill.

I just want to double-check, because I read the Fandom wiki page on Guardian weapons but I'm not sure that's always reliable - you need one Guardian weapon blueprint for each weapon, right? So four slots = four blueprints?

I'd like to try out a similar build, but no way am I putting that amount of work in for something I might not even use again 😮

Oh well, I was just stopping by one of the Megaships to look how they are doing. When I thought "this is a useless ship indeed" and wanted to leave again, I received the message "Attack on Defence Turret" and got a fine.
For looking at it.
What a looser ...

EDIT: And another "discovery" and warning.
When the Shut Down Field had hit, and the effect has worn off, all modules are set to Active. No matter how you have set them before.
Which means: if you store an inactive module on your ship (like me, a second gauss for ammo), it gets activated after the SDF hit. And if your PP doesn't cover the additional load, your shields evaporate and Emergency Life Support kicks in ... in the eye of a pretty amused Flower. So better be more careful than me ...

Yes, the Salvation Shards need one blueprint each. Synuefe EU-Q c21-10, 840 ly away, 2 hours with 4 runs and plenty of materials for ammo-synth.

The Salvation-Shards are great for PVE, too. So it is not a waste of time.

Can confirm in regard to shards - it is a perfect weapon, with it I was finally able to kill a medusa solo. however, each clip fired from 4 shards at the same time requires using a heatsink

I use them on two triggers on starboard and port, each with a TV Beam. Fire one side empty, then hold the trigger to make use of the TV Beam while the Shards reload and fire the other side‘s Shards.

Class 4 and Class 2 on each side in the Vette for example.

First, this is equal to firing of only 2 shards instead of four. And second, the main feature of shards is the combined alpha strike of clips of all 4 shards. You do not have to stay on target all the time. That is a great advantage for the cutter because of its low manuerability

Ok, I understand, in the Cutter you may need a different setup 👍🏼

Would be great if we get Shards as rewards in week 3 - the 8,5 km version 💪🏼 (I have one, the Shard sniper rifle).

Anyone else having issues landing at the Musashi? I had no problem last night but now I'm less the 2k from the Megaship, it is targeted but nothing is showing in the contacts panel and I can't request docking permission. Relog and restart make no difference.

Reboot and repair >>>> right panel >>> ship... to reactivate sensors after damage...

I believe not - Fdev was speaking that 8 km version allowed killing thargs while staying out of their range of fire, so this weapon is overpowered. I just hope for improved xeno scanner so that it would be more convenient to use shards and plasmas

For regular guardian weapons you only need one blueprint to unlock each type and size, then you can buy as many as you want (at stations with guardian tech brokers).
The modified/Salvation guardian weapons are different, they require materials (including blueprints) to be handed over for each individual purchase.
