Inspired by a few recent threads and posts by various people I decided to make a list of rather popular things in Elite that I've not done yet, despite my well over 7k hours in the game.

Here goes then. Despite 7k hours in the game, I have never:
  • Progressed through any Navy ranks for both sides
  • Used any of these ships:
    • Alliance Challenger
    • Alliance Chieftain
    • Alliance Crusader
    • Asp Scout
    • Federal Corvette
    • Federal Dropship
    • Federal Gunship
    • Imperial Cutter
  • Been to Mitterand Hollow
  • Seen planets colliding
  • Been to Beagle Point
  • Seen a Green Gas Giant
  • Pirated another player
  • Unlocked all of the engineers in the Bubble
  • Unlocked all of the engineers in Colonia
  • Got any Powerplay module
  • Solo'd a Thargoid interceptor above Cyclops
  • Unlocked all 3 Guardian SLF's (I have 2)
  • Done the Ram Tah's Guardian Obelisks mission
That's all I can think of for now - and that's just on my main account. I've barely touched my 3 alt accounts in the last 10 years :ROFLMAO: . Please never shut the servers down FDEV, I have SO MUCH LEFT TO DO! The list is probably longer tbh, just nothing more "popular" that people usually would do in Elite comes to mind at this late hour.

There's ton's of stuff I haven't tried out in the game (too many to mention), but there's loads of stuff I have! :D
I've bought and tried out most of the ships in the game, except the T7 and T9.
According to my Codex (I've just this minute checked), I've played a total of 90 weeks 6 Days 7 hours and 19 minutes....whatever that roughly translates into hours! :unsure:
I've actually forgotten some of the earlier stuff I've done in the game come to think of it, but now and again something jogs my memory and takes me back to those situations. For example, playing the game for the first time in a Cobra with only a few thousand credits! :eek:...:LOL:

Presumably you've also never used an Imperial Clipper.

Personally I've never used a Fer de Lance, been to Colonia, Sag A*, Beagle Point and a laundry list of other stuff...

Aw, this should be interesting. Good thing the Inara stats are helping my memory. Going by those and your list, I am 3200 hours in and this is it:
  • never played a single minute of CQC
  • not been to Beagle Point - visited Sag A*, but couldn't bear the trip to BP
  • I have never run out of fuel. Close shave a few times, but so far, I always made it. So I also never called the fuel rats.
  • been to Colonia a few times, but didn't unlock all engineers - Etienne Dorn just gave me the creeps
  • not killed another CMDR in a PvP encounter. I do have CMDR kills on my statistics, but that's accidental kills in AX CZs, i.e. them touching my TV laser and then dying to the goid.
  • I have also never been killed by another CMDR... I think. My ship got sucessfully ganked once, but I wasn't in it.
  • I have never owned a DBS, Challenger, Crusader, ASP Scout, Federal Dropship, Keelback, or Type-7
  • technically I owned one, but I never have left the hangar in an FDL. I sat in it for five minutes, got so annoyed by the strut in my face, rage sold it and never touched one again.
  • I am not a great explorer, so I have probably never seen a few of the more rare stuff you find exploring - never seen a GGG. Have probably not seen all bios.
  • In that vein, I have not visited all galactic regions.
  • I have never solo'd anything above a Cyclops in a "proper" space encounter. I have killed Basilisks and Medusas at ground CZs, but never really solo.
  • I have never been to a dead Titan. I also have never seen the Titan death myself, only on video.
  • I did not unlock all unlockable stuff from tech brokers. I unlocked one guardian fighter and all the guardian ship modules, but not all weapon variants.
  • I have never mined Tritium. Never needed to, because I never take my carrier out in the black, and I am rich and lazy and pay CMDRs handsomely to deliver it.

That's all I can come up with for now.

From the top of my head

Not been to Beagle Point, Rackham's Peak and some other places too.
Don't own a Beluga and Corsair.
Never managed to enter a Thragoid land site to activate a star map (to do soon)

Most of my to bucket list activities are related to exploration, other than that I tried everything and every playstyle ED has to offer.

not been to beagle point either , come to thing of it i been rarely out in the black for long periods, a few occasions to the guardian site or to Colonia yes like many other people. and a few potluck discovers of brain trees. and i don't own a carrier probably never will has i think they are overpriced and the leasing
kind puts me off them.

only just recently unlocked the Federal rank. Corvette

I've met a Thargoid, but I've never fought one. Back in the day, all they did was interdict you and float about for a bit. I missed all the war stuff.

There are many things I haven't got around to (like visiting Beagle point, Formidine Rift or doing the Ram Tah missions) or don't do for roleplay reason (wetwork and civilian massacre missions).
But as to the things I haven't done, and probably couldn't do in the future:
  • Killed any of the Revenants or Banshees on-foot. I may have a few kills from ship using rockets, but never touched them on foot.
  • Sabotaged a spire site. I have one of those Spire Refinery Compounds as a souvenir, but that's the only thing I have collected from an active spire site when I visited one as a tourist.
  • Did any of the hostile reboot missions. Just not my cup of tea, like I don't bother to do theft/sabotage/heist missions.
  • Rescued biopods from a Titan.

I'm just wondering, is the Thargoid War the only bit of content in ED that's no longer available really? It's quite unusual for this game to have content that's no longer available.
If someone missed the War, that's it, they'll never experience it again. Quite a unique situation for ED I think.
