Interesting - so it shows Colony/High-Tech on the map, but only Colony in the journal. That's strange. This is the output in my journal.

Is it not strange that the reply didn't really have anything to do with the question? Normal for random responses, i would not have expected that as an official response. We have official confirmation that Port economies are determined only by the body they orbit!
yes and no. No, he didn´t answer the question of Outpost, Yes he did answer about the Orbis only producing Biowaste. And that statement is important in the context of this thread. Is it not strange that the reply didn't really have anything to do with the question? I'm not putting much weight into that message.
Would be interesting to see if making t1 planetary ports after finishing a starter port BEFORE adding satellites and other t1 space installations to see of the pop increase scales with some modifier coming from "initial pop" increase stat.Yes, i experienced similar things.
My theory: population is something like "Initial population increase" * multiplier.
The multiplier being some combination of stats, probably with a focus on "SoL".
So since the satellite increases the standard of living, the next population calculation sees increased population. Like "oh, it is so nice there, lets move there".
The population doesnt move into the satellite, but in one of the outposts/settlements that have any value for "initial pop increase"
He has a high tech hub, which has a high tech economy. Giving the system Colony/High Tech. I have the same. I have a Scientific hub which shows as a large(+++) settlement with high tech economy, imports, exports etc, just not dockable.Interesting - so it shows Colony/High-Tech on the map, but only Colony in the journal. That's strange.
Market production and biowaste was definitely not the question.yes and no. No, he didn´t answer the question of Outpost, Yes he did answer about the Orbis only producing Biowaste. And that statement is important in the context of this thread.
yeah when they said "open BETA" they really meant it--> https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...lazers-new-stations-operational-delay.635451/ .However FDev has since confirmed they couldn't get all the stations online this tick... with others to be done next week.
From what I've saw here are the pop increases from:
_Comms: 1000 pop
_Relay: 1000 pop
_Satellite: 900 pop
_Government: 1700 pop
_Security: 1400 pop
Doesn't seem to - I added a T1 planetary as my second construction, and got 1000 from my Satellite installation (4th) which is essentially the same as you got.Would be interesting to see if making t1 planetary ports after finishing a starter port BEFORE adding satellites and other t1 space installations to see of the pop increase scales with some modifier coming from "initial pop" increase stat.
Some peeps are going to have a bad time if they built first Orbis in such a position. So tentatively, based on the FD feedback, if the planet or moon is not landable then build an outpost or an installation. Do NOT build a T2 or T3 orbital spaceport or it's tons of biowaste forever![]()

Hm, what about the payout? Did it increase too? Have you built something in the meantime, or did the values go up naturally? My Weekly Stats:
Architect score improved from 32 -> 47
Happiness score 5% -> 0%
Relative to last week (but not from system weekly tick)
All of my economic indexes (security, wealth, standard of living, etc) have gone up.
(certainly nothing has gone down!)
My population has gone up.
Markets have improved (a little bit)
Everything about the colony seems better.
So I'm not sure why Happiness went down. Or what it means. Or how it is calculated. Or if it matters.
My new completed Coriolis is still "under development". Not rotating, & cosmetic scaffolding.
So maybe not all background stats are fully updated too.
As a benevolent overlord trying his best to make the colony a nice place, they sure are ungrateful!
I will continue the beatings and public executions until the happiness score improves.
Yes, I built and completed several facilities including the Coriolis last week, but I don't know it 'counted' because it is still considered under deployment.Hm, what about the payout? Did it increase too? Have you built something in the meantime, or did the values go up naturally?
Yep, I suspect the same - now there is just the question which attributes really contribute towards the scorePayout seems to be setting at 10,000 per score, adjusted by the % happiness.
The % happiness I suspect is related to BGS political states (I got 0% last week; this week has been a control war for the system between the factions who between them own all the stations and I got -8%)
What the score is based on (and why it's shown to 2dp when no-one seems to ever get a non-integer one) still very unclear.
Great, that means the Coriolis I built as my first station that was predetermined on an ELW is literally worthless. We have official confirmation that Port economies are determined only by the body they orbit!

I until now could not recognize any Pop influence in my EL System.... unfortunatly, as I was hoping for that.....Does having an Earthlike world in the system do anything to population level?
I've been lucky enough to snaffle such a system, but goodness knows when the first station will come online.
