Not an entirely related reply but I was planning to plant a (single, only one orbital slot available) space farm next to my Orbis once finished so if no one else provides the info until then I might be able to say how those relate/combine together. It also orbits/will orbit a terraformable water world but until proven otherwise I assume that the complexity of that planet type, even non-landable, boosting agriculture economy in one way or another, isn't included in the system as it currently works.It should have some effect, but almost certainly won't convert the Colony economy entirely. Exactly how much effect it has is not completely clear from the data right now so it's going to be a risk. (if you do risk it, please let us know how it goes!)
maybe it's 0.50 + 0.45 + 0.40 ?My journal entry has 135% Refinery, which suggests it's not 0.5 per hub
Hi Ian,
Thank you very much for your reply.
That all sounds like very good advice.
I will make a start on a Refinery Hub of one of the other planets and use the remaining slot on Planet 2 for either a Large Exxtraction or Large Industrial Settlement.
Cheers,
Regdc
When I added second refinery hub, the market of orbital Coriolis changed from 50% to 100% refinery economy.Data points:
Initial Coriolis + Refinery Hub (Silenus) = Colony 0.50, Refinery 0.50
"StationEconomy":"$economy_Colony;", "StationEconomy_Localised":"Colony", "StationEconomies":[ { "Name":"$economy_Colony;", "Name_Localised":"Colony", "Proportion":0.500000 }, { "Name":"$economy_Refinery;", "Name_Localised":"Refinery", "Proportion":0.500000 } ]
T1 commercial outpost (Plutus) + T1 surface agricultural settlement (Annona) = Colony 1.0
"StationEconomy":"$economy_Colony;", "StationEconomy_Localised":"Colony", "StationEconomies":[ { "Name":"$economy_Colony;", "Name_Localised":"Colony", "Proportion":1.000000 } ]
Will one single Refinery hub (there is just one slot) have any effect whatsoever on the market of an orbiting Orbis?

And on a completely different note, whatever the use of it, apparently my singular high tech outpost with nothing else in system has universal cartographics.
Maybe the T3 planetary surface port calculates hub economic influence differently than Coriolis orbital stations do? A theory.When I added second refinery hub, the market of orbital Coriolis changed from 50% to 100% refinery economy.
Supply of almost every product has doubled or tripled, and surface stabilizers are now on sale.

Yes - not the first time the numbers don't seem to have been entirely reproducible. Thanks for the extra data.Hey I just built a T3 Planetary City on a planet with 3 Hub T2 (refineries) and My journal entry has 135% Refinery, which suggests it's not 0.5 per hub..![]()
Added a third refinery hub. The refinery economy of the orbital Coriolis changed from 100% to 135% and supply of all commodities increased by approximately 1.73 times.When I added second refinery hub, the market of orbital Coriolis changed from 50% to 100% refinery economy.

not necessarily (see 3 posts before) I had one IndHub (and a large extraction settlement) with 2nd IndHub increase was just 0.3 (from 0.6 to 0.9), with the following large Ind Settlement 0.45.... still a mystery to me (and maybe some RNG?)....So up to 1.0 (100%), the increase is 0.5 per hub, after it's only 0.35 per hub, and probably on a descending scale afterwards.
I had the same with my Coriolis, 1 T2 industry settlement with 3 refinery hubs = 0.9 refinery economy, 0.45 industry economy. I'd guess that a mixed economy makes the refineries count for less than if they are part of a pure economy?not necessarily (see 3 posts before) I had one IndHub (and a large extraction settlement) with 2nd IndHub increase was just 0.3 (from 0.6 to 0.9), with the following large Ind Settlement 0.45.... still a mystery to me (and maybe some RNG?)....

That would depend on how far you develop the Refinery economy (how many refinery hubs you build). But if it holds true that refinery hubs give less points in a mixed economy than a pure economy, chances are you'll have fewer commodity types with a mixed economy. The supply levels of each commodity can be increased by building out other infrastructure in the solar system.Say you have a Refinery economy, if you go for a mixed one adding High Tech, will the starport have more Metal commodities or less in the end?
