Development Update 2 - July

Upcoming Updates and Content

As promised, we also wanted to share with you work in progress content and improvements which will arrive in future updates.
All of this sounds quite nice, indeed, however one evident omission is a planned release date.
Can you please comment on timelines for update 6, and, preferably, for the pace at which further patches to Odyssey are planned?
In my experience as a product/project manager omitting a timeline while communicating development plans to customers (in this case, me and all others reading this forum) usually resulted in me being bombarded with questions about schedule, and associated risks of project slippage.
Looking forward to reading from you on that.
Cheers,

CMDR Ubiknoir

Much more encouraging communication Dev team (y) Thank you for listening and starting to fix some old bugs, as well as more recent ones🤞

Why? Unless you are planning to give them something to do and make instancing together more reliable it will just be another empty seat in the cockpit.

Please let active NPC crew sit in those seats (unless they are occupied by a CMDR).
Yes, PLEASE let us fill the empty seats with NPCs or those much advertised androids

No Carrier interiors.
No mention of engineering improvements.

I have no intention to issue praise correction of technical issues in a completed game.
We need experience fixes.
I knew reading this was a mistake.

Hey, you should just be thankful that the scanner isn't the way it was when it was first released in Alpha, with having to press the button in time to match up the DNA pictures as they spun around.
It is not a matter of being grateful, it is a matter of optimizing, does repeating the same thing three times make sense?

Yes, even with port forwarding.
Some set ups can be tricky but if properly implemented it should improve noticeably your experience though. If you want to double check your port forwarding set ups just in case go ahead and post your details in that thread so we can try and help out.

Is that a Gutamaya limo? :)
:D I hope not in the real game!

But from memory the Fed Gunship, Dropship, need this done but not the Alliance ships so that the Fed vessels become useful again. Keelback would be great, Adder, the big 3, T-10 and 9....

Can I suggest a "feature request tracker", similar to the issue tracker where we can put forward ideas and they get voted on maybe. That way it forms a kind a league table snd means players and the Frontier teams can easily filter through the features that are the most popular.

I'm afraid that the "suggestion" forum is a bigger black hole than Sag A. Suggestions fall in never to be seen again.

Keelback would be great [...]
I'm of the opinion that stuffing that extra seat into the Keelback ruined the feel of the cockpit. I wish they actually redesigned the cockpit to make it feel like the seat belongs. If they just start adding seats to ships like the Python and Krait, I can't imagine a place for those to go where it won't feel cramped* and look like a Photoshop copy-n-paste (like the Keelback).

* based on ED's spacious aesthetic.

Request/suggestion for distant future, a big ship carrying just 4 people is still kinda less so I hope we can just have Cmdrs standing in the cockpit or elswhere in the ship while it flies or atleast be seated in tahe passenger cabins xD

I see what you mean, I just have a slightly nostalgic view of the Keelback, which to me is the A Team van of ED.
