Is there any good way to send a direct message now to a cmdr in the vicinity?
Till now you could hit 'tab' until the chat dialog switched to 'direct' and then send a message to your current target. That was my default way to greet people I met, friend or foe, or just random strangers.
Now tab cycles only between 'local' and 'wing'.
Sure, I know, you can type '/d cmdrname Message' but then I have to spell out the whole name, and often you just stumble over people in SC and they are gone after a few seconds.
So, is there any shortcut that I missed? Was that change made on purpose?
Just to clarify, I don't want to sent a local message. I want to send a message to this guy over there without typing his name
