The Discovery Scanner episodes are some of the most interesting live streams Frontier has done.
I love to see the people involved in the game talking passionately about their work, and the glimpses under the bonnet are fascinating. Look at the galaxy generation, the Thargoid swarming behaviour and the audio design streams, for instance.

Absolutely, it's great to see what goes on behind the scenes and what had to be done to get something in game! I can't help but wonder if it wouldn't also be cool to have one of these about ongoing development: a ship yet to be released, anew feature bring developed etc. It would be equally cool plus allow people to look forward to something.

Viz Top Tip : Only revisit the game every year, and before you do it review the videos from the previous years - it will be like all the post-release videos were leaks of future content!
Hopefully they might show some of the ships designs that never made it to the game, for one reason or another.
They probably designed the ship very quickly. It was the tea/coffee dispenser that had them in endless redesign meetings. I'd be interested how they reached the solution to that one

Not the first time they do a "Discovery Scanner" episod but I have to admit that I would love to see those on a more frequent basis.
