they have dlcs they are making, and the game should be able to sell enough copies after launch especially to be able to sustain such things, micro transactions in a fully priced game is trying to have the best of both worlds at the expense of the customer. You either charge once and give everything, or make it freemium...but let's not get into that here or risk derailing the thread.
That's to be blunt. Guild Wars started the pay once play forever model for MMOs back in 2005 and it had DLC and microtransactions. This is nothing new and is necessary to keep a game going. The DLC cost will pay for the DLC's development not the maintenance of the servers or further bug fixes down the road.
