Should know this but once the game is released will I loose everything from the beta (money, ships, etc)?

Yes. But the thinking at the moment is that anything you have from the gamma will carry over into full release.

Everything... Except your flying skills and inside knowledge of the game.

There WILL be wipes before 'general release'. We don't know when these will be or how many. (There probably will be one when we switch from beta to Gamma)

And as was said above, we 'think' (but not positive) that Gamma gameplay will be kept into general Release.

^almost this, while we think there wont be a wipe during gamma we can't know for sure until retail is out and we are still playing our gamma commanders, treat everything you do between now and release as practice and expect to start on day one of retail with a sidewinder or other starter ship. in this way if we do get a wipe you'll be expecting it, if we dont you'll get a pleasant surprise

The current plan is that everything is reset at the beginning of gamma. If we need to do it before then we'll let you know in advance.

I simply dont unfderstand!!
If you play Bf4 , yes I understand aimbots and bla,bla but I absolutely hate it.
But this gaame !! why would you want to buy a game that plays itself, I mean there is no endgame !!!
I dont get it , Iam maybe to old

Evertime I Wipe.....

Since the last two updates, possibly the last three of them. I haven't been able to wipe my status and restart with a clean slate. While the button or tab can still be clicked on there is now difference to my player status. With all the credits I earned and murder and other crimes I've committed in this game so far.

BTW....This has been ticketed and I've shared it here while I'm waiting on a reply.

If you don't wash your hands after you wipe I'm pretty sure your player status stays on them.

Have they mentioned if the characters, players, credits, ships, etc. that are created in the beta will carry over to the final release game?

yes, the answer is no they wont, expect a wipe at the end of beta, maybe one in gamma as well.

I can't see there being one in gamma, as that is pretty much the finished game with any remaining bugs cleared up as it goes along.

Yep, no-one gets the advantage (apart from those that have been used to playing it for a while in alpha and beta).

currently there are plans only for one final wipe before gamma, but this is software development and that means you never know anything for sure.

so expect at least one more wipe
