Dislikes so far.

A lot of the new features are great. No denying that but I'm sure we all have a lot of things we dislike or outright hate about JWE2. Here's mine so far:

"Campaign". That's not a campaign that's a tutorial. I'm not just talking about the pathetic length either but the simple fact that the entire things is just do this this and this in different environments. That entire campaign should have been a single mission.

Aviary perches. I already made a thread on this so I'm not going into it again.

Map size. Nublar North in the first game should be the absolute minimum size for a map. Why give us all these species when we only have room for 10% of them?

Challenge mode extra challenges. Specifically Germany herbivores only. I like that they add extra challenge but they should be optional. I personally don't care for sandbox mode and like to play challenge mode with as many species as possible in my parks. Germany just adds unnecessary limitations.

Over aggressive Dinosaurs. My first chaos theory mode ended in a disaster because apparently Pachyrhinosaurus hate one another and so did my Velociraptors. I only had one aggressive Raptor and no aggressive Pachyrhinos so why are they determined to cripple one another?

Incurable common cold. I don't care how realistic this is its a really dumb decision for obvious reasons. Who thought this was a good idea?!?

Also selling fossils and minerals. Why does that cost money and require scientists? I'm sticking a rock on ebay. Doesn't take a PhD to do that.
Not quite. You're having your Scientist analyse the fossil to determine its value, as well as determining a buyer. That takes some time and money.

While in the real world appraisers may be needed to make a fair value of a product, when the cost of the fossil processing is greater than the amount you get from it you have a net loss just to get it out of your inventory.

That just makes a simple process take longer than it should. A lot of the gameplay additions from JWE1 to JWE2 feel like that actually, just drawn-out busywork that makes it harder to get to the dinosaurs.

Preparing fossils can take hundreds of work hours by highly skilled specialists.
We're playing a game about gene splicing Dinosaurs. We don't need absolute realism.

That took me seconds and cost me nothing. And correct me if I'm wrong but does it nor tell you exactly what you fossil/mineral is and its exact value when you look at it on the menus?

As someone who has prepared fossils this is true in real life. You however built a videogame in which you are trying to progress in an unrealistic challenge. Again realistic situation that interfere with the mechanics of the game, game progression, and fun are detrimental to the game's design. We aren't going for complete realism here because if we were the raptors would be covered in feathers, the dilophosaurus would be bigger than the raptors with a far different head crest, the spinosaurus would have far shorter legs, and the mosasaurus wouldn't be big enough to swallow a great white shark whole.
