Now's its time to make a long way home along the edge of the galaxy, calling at Colonia on the way home. Exploring is calling me.

Thanks again, see you all out there. o7 CMDRs.

As a follow up to my arrival post, here's the astrometrics recap of my first trip from the Bubble out to Beagle Point as a CMDR in Distant Worlds 2. It's neat seeing it all laid out in less than a minute, including going back to the Bubble to grind out the FSD Booster, and that time dropped out of FSD through a black hole and booped a white dwarf (and... boom!). Enjoy CMDRs, and fly safe! o7

MY LOCATION?! AT BEAGLE POINT!

A long but wonderful journey. The best part? Share it with a lot of great people!!!

A big, big congratulations to all the Commanders In Chief of DW2! Thanks for your effort and your support! Special mention to Allcrowsareblack, Repairman_Patch and CDR_WillTRiker... you guys are great!

To the Fuel Rats and the Seal Hulls... there aren't words to express my admiration for your commitment to help.... hats off!!!!!

And congratulations to all the members of DW2, I really hope to share with you more adventures out in the black!

Finally but not least important, and following the history of Beagle Point, I want to acknowledge the company of my beloved dog, she was at my side every jump of this journey.... fulfilling her duties as my faithful co-pilot!!

Nicely done! :)

Many thanks to the organisers and all those that participated, especially the rats and seals (Shout out to the seals, Cmdr Iszo and Patrykuzz, for saving my bacon). Absolutely one of the highlights of my years playing Elite.

Well done and thanks again. o7

Back at home, to friends, of an expedition I speak.
To which they reply: what do you mean it took weeks?
That's such a long trip, but what do you do?
Well sit back, grab a drink and let me tell you.
Of the places I've been and the things I have seen.
Of a journey beyond your bubble borne dreams.

Stars beyond counting, seventy thousand light years!
I soon realised I should have brought along more beers.
From tiny rocks to blue marbles: my name is out there.
Discoveries for science! Inscribed with great care.
I touched the galactic ceiling, going as high as I dared.
I've landed upon The Mighty (and wasn't even scared)
Hell, I've crashed into things you've never even seen!
From moons to black holes: there's scratch marks where I've been...
Course I got patched up by a friendly Hull Seal.
Then raced reckless pilots, in SRV's with great zeal.
Took a trip to Colonia and had a drink at the bar.
And saw the Great Annihilator, which wasn't very far.
Even learned to fly that neutron highway, so dangerous and bright.
And jumped in formation, contrails burning in the night.

And of that great station... well what can I say?
Surely each one of us made history that day.
Ships by the thousand, ore by the million ton!
A challenge beyond scope, in unity we won.
And now in sight of Sagittarius A
Does rest a place for explorers to stay.

Now at long last, Beagle Point: the final test!
But I start to wonder: what about the rest?
All I have done, all I have seen...
What else can compare to the places I've been?
I left with barely enough to pay the insurance shark
And now have almost a billion to spend on a lark!
I could retire in luxury or buy the ship of my dreams.
But I'm left questioning what it all means.
After seeing Distant Worlds, you ask me to go back?
Nah, not for me: I'll be out here in the black!

Nicely done Trenchant. I'll pass this on to Dr Kaii :)

Thank you all guys to make my 2nd trip to Beagle Point once again a great one. Especially thanks to the PS4 community which I'm part of and certainly to my friend and Squadron leader AllCrowsAreBlack - love you girl <3

Here it is my drama.

I arrived at Beagle Point.

An 30 minutes later, I exploded in Beagle 2.

Now my question: will my journey count as completed?

Or I would have to had "login into beagle point" for it to count?

If you made it to the system during the time window you're good to go. No requirement to land. Just fill in the sheet for arrivals.

Made it! Thanks for organizing, and thanks for an awesome experience - I would never have seen and interacted with so many players if it wasn't for this expedition!

I documented most of the waypoint arrivals and shenanigans via un-edited livestreams, check out my (non-monetized, just for fun) YouTube channel (CMDR Hubbel).

I half expected to take major damage during the waypoint meetups, what with all the thruster-off stranded-whale landings, but all went well.

I DID die twice though, once at the Pallaeni takeoff (NPC), and the other time is a tale of stupidity which I will edit and post at some point on my channel. It involves the external camera and, as mentioned, stupidity.

Will rest at BP for a while now.
