I'm interested in joining an event like this; I did not attend DW1 and DW2. My next question is not to diminish anyone's effort or sound snotty, but why does an event like this take 40 people six months to plan?
I did the DW2 in its entirety and it has been one of the most memorable moments in gaming for me. Will try to join DW3 also.

While I played Elite during the time of DW2, I wasn't as engaged with the game and missed out on a groundbreaking and news making event. Suffice to say, I will not make that mistake again if the opportunity presents itself. Count me in.
In terms of feedback, while I haven't been a part of the other DW expeditions, I have done expeditions with my squadron, The Stellar Cartographer's Guild. Something I've quite enjoyed there is clear communication when the expedition is moving on to a different waypoint, as well as other events and gatherings. If there's anything I would value from DW3, it would be clear communication. Perhaps this could take the form of a dedicated website, similar to DCoH in scope and constant updates.

Never done a DW event before. Judging from the comments from all the DW vets on here its not to be missed. Count me in!

I joined DW2 just six-ish weeks after picking up Elite for the first time - mostly because it looked interesting and I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Mining was involved, so of course I brought my Type-9. Why is everyone looking at me funny? lol
Now, years later, DW2 is still one of the highest points of my Elite career. Coincidentally, a couple friends and I just started out on a 44-waypoint tour of the galaxy. This was a route I put together simply because I missed the joy of finding new and weird things in Elite. DW3 would be an absolutely amazing event to add to my CMDR's list of accomplishments.

I only started playing around 2020 so I missed the DW expeditions. However, If DW3 happens, regardless of what it looks like, I'll 100% be there.
