Summary

System: Stuemeae FG-Y D7561
Station: Explorer's Anchorage (Ocellus starport, large pads available, 4,276 Ls from main star, 25,899.71 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Bounty Vouchers
Time limit: 14th March 3305 @ 15:00 UTC

Description

The organisers of the Distant Worlds II expedition have requested materials for two construction projects in the Galactic Centre.

The exploration fleet aims to build a megaship and installation in the Stuemeae FG-Y d7561 system. To protect contributors to the mining side of the campaign, Deep Space Surveys have authorised bounty vouchers for all wanted vessels.

The initiative begins on the 7th of March 3305 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Bounty Vouchers at Explorer's Anchorage in the Stuemeae FG-Y D7561 system. Only bounty vouchers handed in after signing up will count toward your personal contribution total.

Please note that if you have any crew members, a portion of your bounty vouchers will be automatically assigned to them. These bounty vouchers will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for their vouchers when they are handed in. The proportion of bounty vouchers assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.

Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.

Notes:
- Station services: Commodities Market, Black Market, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel
- No Shipyards within 500 Ly
- Nearest Interstellar Factors: (according to Inara, correct at time of writing)
  • Grim Pioneer in Stuemeae BA-A d955 (Prison ship, 364 Ls from star, 5.82 Ly away)
- Available RES in system:
  • Will be added as reported in the thread
- Bounties that count towards the goal:
Deep Space Surveys
- Bounties that don't count towards the goal:
All other local factions - tbc

There's outfitting. I put a bunch of medium multicannons on my poorly-shielded Beluga last night and destroyed some low-level criminal scum to help avoid the lockdown.

Any HAZ? Gonna take me at least 3 days to get there and wont bother if there aren't any.
While the Civil Unrest state lasts, there should be Pirate Activity Detected signal sources, which are better than HAZ for tough targets.

It probably won't last three days.

Oh no! Not another one of these! Dammit! Nope. Not going. Just nope. Looks like I'll be stuck doing more pirate lord missions and random haz res's for another week. I suppose I could go and try to get better at the new mining thing. I know a place where the payouts are almost double the galactic average, but hey - it isn't about the credits anymore - have plenty already. And I can't get excited about exploration. I tried - but just couldn't. TBH I am not sure I quite understand why either. Weird really. I pretty much enjoy anything in ED but the exploration thing just doesn't do it for me. Oops sorry - don't want to derail the thread. I'll stop now. See y'all next week.

Looks like I made the right decision to stop by Ghandharvi and swap my Fleet support explorer for my armed escort explorer.

Check the bounties in the contacts panel before engaging. A dangerous Anaconda in a "weapons fire threat level 4" signal source just had a 3100 cr bounty. The next signal source was also weapons fire threat 4, this time its dangerous Anaconda had a 1250 cr bounty on it and I let it live. While I guess it's somewhat realistic that some of the wanted ships we encounter are just guilty of reckless weapons discharge instead of being hardened criminals with a lifetime of bounties, it's not very rewarding...

I guess it's moot since I still haven't been able to sign up for either of the CGs, I'm getting the common "can't connect to server" error. Sigh, I was rushing to the waypoint to be able to help with station construction, hope this can get sorted out soon.

  • 3 low RES in the system, ~8 kls from the station. Lots of easily popping low level ships yesterday evening
  • one level 5 pirate threat with some tough barstuds at CD2 (I left after I lost my shield to a Chieftain and tagged a Python...)
  • the usual assortment of USSes with some very strange classifications - a level 5 weapons fire held a solo novice FdL which was worth someting like 6k, the next level 4 threat held three deadly and above 'condas. With no security support showing up, I didn't stick around to check their bounties...

Yes, I was able to connect to the servers for long enough to subscribe and hand in the first pack of bounties - made it into the top 10 with ~950 kCr :D
On the next run, I couldn't connect to the servers.

Hey there Commanders, we're aware that some of you are having trouble connecting to the mission board at Explorer's Anchorage. We're currently investigating and apologise for the inconvenience!

Commanders, the mission board at Explorer's Anchorage is now fully functional, and all Commanders should now be able to sign up for this week's CGs. Thank you for your patience!
