Imagine that one end of the device is a paintbrush and you're trying to paint the inside of a sphere (through which your hands magically pass) with it.

...and rotate the brush 360 degrees at every point too![]()
Sorry to hear that Whagwan, so here is a re-post from the past.Managed to snap the micro-USB connector tonight. .
Guys
When attaching the EDTracker to your head phones don’t forget to make a strain relief for your USB cabal (tape the cabal to the head band) all pulling and tugging should be at the strain relief and not at the delicate USB port.
PS: The cabal between the Tracker and the strain relief should be relaxed, (not pulling and not pushing).
Reboot.
I've loaded 4.0.3 - all's working well - so many thanks all aboard the good-ship ED-Tracker.
HoWeVeR - and please forgive me if I am late to this particular party - going via OpenTrack, and enabling the 'roll-axis', takes EDTracker from a 'nice to have' to an absolute game-changer.
It's given me a glimpse into what I imagine Oculs Rift levels of immersion must feel like - and if you've not given it a go, do so. It's a bit fiddly to start with, but once everything has settled, it is A-MAZE-ING...
Here's my OpenTrack ini file: http://www.mediafire.com/view/o3mi38vqp2duxmf/OpenTrack_EliteD_Profile.ini
In the EDTracker UI 4.0.4.0 I have Yaw and Pitch scaling set to 1.00, and smoothing to 35.
Hope this helps.
Hi Henry1491, I have EdTracker set up in Eliete with Look up/down - Left/Right but how do you set it for roll as you mentioned above? Which settings?
Guys, I’ve setup Opentrack so when I look back over the shoulder I don’t just rotate the head, I also move out to the side (translate along the X axis), just like real life (stretch the head to see just a little bit more).
I mainly fly a flight simulator, the settings goes something like this,
I rotate “YAW” from 0 -150 degrees (that gives the best view, most realistic) more than 150 I can only see the seat.
From 35 degrees”YAW” I start to translate in the X axis (up to 55cm to the side) head touching the canopy.
Anyone interested, I’ll post instructions.
Reboot.
Sorry to hear that and bothered me too but a Velcro cable tie secures the cable perfectly to my headphones.Sorry to hear that Whagwan, so here is a re-post from the past.
btw Thanks for the post Kiblams.
