Scenarios Dizzy's Swamp World - Behold the "Swamp Rocket!"

You squinted into the bright sun as you walked across the tarmac. The man in the distance walked towards you with an easy gait to his cowboy boots and a broad grin.

“Hey, kid!” he said. “Good to see you!” He stroked his mustache. “I can see your mother has been taking good care of you. You look great!”

“Hey, Uncle Diz!” you replied. “It’s great to be here. I’m really looking forward to learning about the park biz.” Uncle Dizzy bought some swamp land two years ago, which he renamed, “Dizzy’s Swamp,” and had been working on turning it into a park. The vision was to build hotels, fireworks displays, shops and rides. He invited me down to help him work on it…or so I thought.

“Well, kid, there are just three things you need to know. First, it's gotta sound good. I changed the park name to “Dizzy’s Swamp World.” It’s made all the difference. People didn’t want to visit a swamp, but Swamp World – now that’s worth driving for hours to see!”

He continued, “Second, the park biz is a hotel biz. I built a bunch of them, but…” he shrugged, “they need some work.”

His face turned more serious as he said, “The boys keep having trouble with the Swamp Rocket Fireworks Show. I’m afraid they’re gonna hurt themselves. Start the show when you think they’re ready for it, okay?”

You didn’t know what to say. After a few moments he broke the silence. “I’ve found another business opportunity that’s just too good to miss. I’d like you to take over this park and turn it into something really great.”

You were stunned. “But….but…” you stammered.

He grinned again. “That’s the spirit, kid! You’ll be fine!”

You regained your composure enough to ask, “Uncle Diz, what are you going to do?”

“I’m going to New York City!” he said.

“New York City?”

“Yes, there’s a guy there who has a bridge to sell, and I’m going to make a fortune collecting tolls!”

With that, he turned and reached into his pocket. “I know I can count on you, kid. Here are the cabin keys.” He flipped them to me and started to stride off. “Send my love to your mother!” He waved and strode towards the biplane at the end of the tarmac.

You stood silently and watched him walk away. You swallowed hard and said to yourself, “Let’s see if I’m up for a challenge. This could be interesting!”

Required DLC: Spooky, Adventure, Studios

Two coaster types are available at the start of the scenario. Here are blueprints that sort of "go" with the scenario with just enough station scenery (note: 4m wide queue paths line up nicely with wall pieces):

This is a challenging scenario, but not a grindfest. Objectives for park, staff, rides (notably prestige), hotels and fireworks. The "Swamp Rocket" Fireworks show is two buildings - the rocket and the show. The show's sequencer is clearly marked.

There are eight small hotels in the scenario. If you've not played around with hotels yet, you might want to check out my thread on hotels in the "Planet Coaster Discussions" section of this forum.

Oh, and I would be really curious to see what you think of "The Smoke House." You can get the idea from the video. All comments, props, criticisms and random feedback greatly appreciated.

Party on!

Will subscribe to this straight away as I been looking forward to playing with the hotels in a scenario, since Frontier hasn't bother doing one. Cheers for creating one.
