DLC 19 Speculation

If it even exists in the plans i'm going with safari, rainforests or Zookeeper's Collection. I think is too soon to speculate. We have to wait for what the current pack actually is themed around. That should give us some answers. But i'll leave My coment here SO i can track this thread haha.

Based on the leaks and my obsession with round numbers, I guess the next and perhaps final packs (20 in total then) could be rainforests (tree kangaroo, echidna, hopefully coati, ocelot, literally any monkey) and savannah/safari (secretary, impala, dik-dik). If they’re not done after that, maybe a 21st pack with the rhea and pelican (wishful thinking).

Don't worry rhea also fotos in savanahs / safari ☺️ so does the mara and the blackbuck. But if Indeed they do 20 DLCs (would be amazing) then i expect at least another scenery pack and the very last to be a Zookeeper's Collection type of pack.

Would you guys like this pack?
Safari/Scrublands
Secretary Bird
Kirk’s Dik Dik
Coquerel’s Sifaka
African Spurred Tortiose
Short Beaked Echidna
Blackbuck
Greater Rhea
Patagonian Mara
Safari Scenery
Yes i adore it. Although Sifaka doesn't really fit there.

As much as I want the sifaka (my favorite primate), I'd honestly replace it here with something like the southern screamer.
Or I'd make it an exhibit animal and bring in something like a frilled lizard, thorny devil, a chameleon, or a cobra

Oh yeah, that reminds me, they refused to come out when I visited Houston Zoo! I was kind of disappointed, I really wanted to see them. Rest of the zoo was stunning though (but the sea lions were also off exhibit, and I also missed the agouti which was another one I was looking forward to).

Aw man. Sorry about that. The monkeys are many times off display, not sure why.
Strange that the sea lions were off, maybe pool maintenance? And the agoutis I actually haven't seen in a while, but maybe because I'm not always looking for them.
What was your favorite part of the zoo?

I actually do think we'll get DLC19, the (presumed) Mountains Animal Pack really doesn't feel like a finale pack to me. If DLC19 ends up being a finale pack, it needs to have at least the following animals for me to consider it a worthwhile sendoff to this game we all love.
  • Secretary Bird
  • Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
  • South American Coati
  • Geoffroy's Spider Monkey
  • Another New World primate (howler monkey, squirrel monkey, tamarin, etc.)
  • At least one additional bird species
  • A walkthrough exhibit animal that isn't a clone
A finale pack should also be larger than a typical animal pack, maybe 12 animals.

I happened to see every single primate aside from the sifakas, too. Oh well, not the first zoo I missed them at, surely it won’t be the last either. Same deal for the agouti - it wouldn’t have been such a big deal if I hadn’t also failed to see them at both San Antonio earlier in the week, and Cameron Park later. And the sea lions, yeah, there was definitely maintenance or something. There were a bunch of signs saying they were off exhibit.

Favorite part was definitely the Pantanal. Such a cool collection of species, particularly the massive mixed exhibit. Galapagos could have been a contender but I feel like missing the sea lions probably dragged the experience down a bit.

Edit: oh, I’ve also got to mention the absolutely massive gorilla/red river hog exhibit. That was a joy. As was the whole primate area - the exhibits were a bit dated but totally serviceable, but I’m also just a total sucker for taxonomically grouped collections. And I did manage to catch the Allen's swamp monkey, which I’d missed twice before at other zoos, so that was nice.
