DLC 19 Speculation

hold up why is the fox holding motorbike keys,
The fox and butterfly are already ingame animals used for a simple promo pic but seriously why is the fox holding a generic key and with a motorbike helmet keychain.
It's a hint!

This is proof we are getting a Barnyard 2.0, get those South American hats off and let's start hyping for a cow and pig.

The real fun is making a sequel pack that doesn't repeat any species. Here's my best shot:
  • Bronze Turkey
  • Saxony Duck
  • Chinese Goose
  • Pearl Guineafowl
  • Shetland Pony
  • Huanhu Yak
  • Flemish Giant Rabbit
  • Polish Lynx Pigeon (Walkthrough Exhibit)

Honestly over the past couple days I have been trying to figure out why Ungulates have been boring for me. This is outside my personal animal wants and bias, outside of how much Frontier picks ungulates and picks the same types of ungulates.

I mentioned it in the hot takes thread, but they don’t herd. One of the best things about real life ungulate habitats is seeing massive herds of animals sprawled out over a beautiful open space. It’s really something beautiful to look at. North Carolina Zoo has some of my favorites too, they were gorgeous. I especially remember finding the elk and bison to be captivitating.

In Planet Zoo they don’t herd, you can have a field of a bunch of individual animals, but not herding animals. I almost don’t want to make these massive sprawling fields, only because making smaller habitats makes the ungulates look better in game. With smaller habitats it looks like they actually follow each other. I’ll also admit when I am talking about ungulates I am talking less about the semi-aquatic or climbing species. Which the herding is not the main focus over their ability to scale rocks and swim. The main draw of the massive open fields in zoos are the herding animals. Which we just don’t have in game.

Also, being me, I do just want to quickly mention birds. What also makes ungulates great is they can also be mixed habitat species. Planet Zoo doesn’t have many good mixed habitat birds. If you want to make a mixed African habitat you basically have the ostrich, and maybe the greater flamingo. If I make a mixed African habitat I get very bored using the ostrich over and over again. Sure I can change what ungulates I use, but the birds remain the same. Just having a guineafowl or grey crowned crane can go a long way. I’ll admit for birds I really only want mixed habitat species at this point.
That is decently strange, given the JWEs have had herding since 2018. To be fair JWE1 got a lot of criticism about so many things.
Dumb question, but how long before a new DLC is the sale at most? I don't remember the history of it... All I remember is noticing sales do tend to occur before DLCs.
The only consistent part seems to be a sale starting around a DLC (Barnyard being the exception). The March Publisher sales don't seem to be relevant.

This means Spring Sale is irrelevant unfortunately

What would they name if we would have gotten an Easter Themed Pac with small animals like Twilight with Groundhogs, Porcupines, Rabbits, and Otters.
I posted a concept for that after the release of the Twilight Pack, calling it the Springtime Pack. I went with a roster of greater bilby, European rabbit, American black bear, white stork and monarch butterfly (this was before the Grasslands Animal Pack).

Where’s the olorotitan?
The Steam page has more of the art https://store.steampowered.com/developer/FrontierDevelopments/sale/frontierspring25

Maybe "Dawn" or "Daybreak". The title "Hidden Animal Pack" maybe applies a little, given most of them hide away, though that sounds more like a Camouflage theme.

For Insects/Arachnids specifically I was thinking "Undergrowth", even though a pure exhibit pack seems pretty unlikely. It'd be themed to a giant garden, with giant statues of the species.
