DLC18 discussion and predictions

Which two are what?
Spectacled bear + sloth just "exist", like it's great to have them but I will likely never use them. Like previous dlcs like say conservation, wetlands and grasslands , half the lineup is great, the other half is kinda useless for my recreations. I'm not like most people who will go out their way to build a new area for all these animals or regularly incorporate new animals in my zoos. If it ain't an animal featured in my real zoo projects, it will never get used.

Oh I thought you were talking about the community as a whole.

Oh no, I don't do that. There's nothing worse than saying the community will hate [wishlist idea] when it's a personal opinion. If I dislike an idea or skeptical about it, it is always a personal opinion that I expect no one else to share.

"We hate this idea!"

On the subject of animal packs, I know it's a mega unpopular opinion, but...Barnyard might have actually been my favorite animal pack since North America.

HEAR ME OUT. Barnyard just feels like the most seen followed through pack in terms of its vision. As much as I would have liked poultry and rabbits, I cannot in good faith look at any of those choices and honestly say they had no business in being a farm pack. I might have played around with the selected breeds but that's different from species.

I can say the same for the arid pack and look at that, the singular choices are all fine its just that putting them all together makes the pack belong in the dumbster of worst pack.
And i wouldnt say that being fine on specieslevel makes the animals of barnyard a fine addition, cause what does the species mean when they butcher the breeds so bad youd think its satire.
Most common zoo animal gets replaced by a breed so niche that in multiple language its just named "domestic goat", had 2 extremly strong choices for visually unique pig breeds that were saved by BRITISH zoos from extinction and conquered petting zoos across the world from there only to choose an obscure bacon breed, a sheep that only passes the best by looking like better options like the ouessant or merino sheep, the donkey is the closes we got to a true clone since the malayan tapir and it isnt even cloned from a particulary well implemented animal, just ask the noise department why they couldnt use the dozens of donkey sound samples on the internet, a cattle that got shrank down to the size of a pony, a chicken known for its dozen + colormorphs only to not even have its second most common one and the alpaca. See how there is only one animal without a very big and obnoxiously unnessecary issue?
It would totally have been possible to have a great pack with these species even without a rodent or second bird, but not with that dumbster fire of an execution

Frontier has been adding birds in the last packs:

Oceania pack: kiwi and blue penguin
Eurasia: mute swan
Barnyard: Sussex chicken

Do you think this trend will continue? What bird do you think we'll get next?

I think secretary or pelican are the most likely
If we take dictionary seriously then Secretary's coming next, in which case I would hope that like Oceania, the last pack has two birds, because I really want Pelican

I really yearning for some nice, lowkey, filler birds like a duck, pheasant or guineafowl.
Almost every bird we have is more of a centerpiece animal, which is nice but id also like something that you can put in a little habitat beside the path or throw in with some other animals.
Also while building a tropical house the last couple days i realized how much im missing a bird which can free roam such a build, crowned pigeon and tropical ducks where are you?

As an insane bird nerd, I think so. I’ll agree with what others have said though, it’s probably gonna be a secretary bird. While not a bad pick on its own the issue is we need more filler birds. We need the ducks, tropical house birds, mixed habitat birds, etc. we have so few options in that department.
