Normally they try to plan around the Unlocks though(I say normally when there was only one) so wouldn’t it make sense for a September release? Like early September that is?
I can see mid to late august, but only if
1. They announce the dlc early in the July unlocked, which isn’t horribly likely.
2. They announce the dlc in the August unlocked, and then immediately release it. Which is much more likely. That could still put us close to September though.
The other key factor is that new CSM game they're likely to announce soon. If they're planning for a holiday 2024 release it would
have to get announced sometime within the next month or two I'd think...
So my best guess now is that they announce the new CSM game in late July *week of the 22nd) and dedicate a solid chunk of the next Frontier Unlocked toward discussing that game, if it's PlanCo2 they'll have a dev breakdown changes and improvements from the original, etc. This will inevitably get a
ton of eyeballs on the stream. So
before they get to the big bit about the new game? They'll remind us that the next Planet Zoo DLC is coming using a similar method that they used for the JWE2 DLC ("There's one still coming, we swear! We just need more time! Stay tuned to our socials!") and that'll be that.
That way, they can get the PZ folks hyped while keeping the focus on the new game.
And then about ~2 weeks later is when we'll get the reveal for the new DLC set to drop in last week of August/first week of September. That way they can hype it up on the August Unlocked (then tease the new CSM game more).
There's a bit of synergy there considering that the next game is a CSM (and likely PlanCo2). It would be smart for them to pair them up in this way to try and get the PZ fans to transfer to the next game.
