Those were united by the theme of... conservation. It's not comparable to this pack at all.Well, it depends on what is a random assortment for you, but I think the first pack like that was Conservation.

I find it funny that, yet again, we were all half-right and half-wrong. The pack has strong highland/mountain tendencies but it was called a "Celebration Pack" and has heavy celebration/anniversary tendencies.Funny how in the end we basically got half of a mountain pack in this "Zookeeper animal pack"
sorry for your loss of tree kangaroos buddy </3I find it funny that, yet again, we were all half-right and half-wrong. The pack has strong highland/mountain tendencies but it was called a "Celebration Pack" and has heavy celebration/anniversary tendencies.![]()
Which, if they did, is for the better. Can you imagine if we'd had gotten a total of 2 flying birds? Would have been underwhelmingYes I remember getting them and being excited about the possibilities with birds. It makes me think that frontier initially planned this but decided to hold it off for the sequel after seeing the community feedback
The wild boar, wisent and takin were all frequently requested animals and probably a lot more cost-effective to make.Looking back at our last year, I can't fathom the reasoning to prioritize the Eurasia pack (other than the swan and the wolverine if we're being generous), when they already knew they were reaching the end, in detriment of some requested favorites that were finally left out (most I don't even mind either way, I'm not being bitter as it doesn't really affect me).
Cool.sorry for your loss of tree kangaroos buddy </3
we're thinking of commissioning cake for a base of one tho fyi
But what about the sloth bear textures? Their fur seems more complicated than the cat and baboon's. I just think Frontier does what Frontier doesThe wild boar, wisent and takin were all frequently requested animals and probably a lot more cost-effective to make.
I suspect that Eurasia started as a mountain pack but they couldn’t quite get the Pallas’ cat and Hamadryas baboon textures right.
It’s the flaw in my theory - perhaps it was in contention for another pack as well? But what about the sloth bear textures? Their fur seems more complicated than the cat and baboon's. I just think Frontier does what Frontier does
If only they’d used it for the spider monkey insteadGuys I figured out why the Sifaka is here - it can use the gibbon rig! This is one of their best rigs that took a lot of work (and a dedicated brachiation system), it makes sense they'd want to reuse it one last time.
I think it does add up though.I mean there were animals mentioned in the dictionary that we didn't get. Goodfellow's and Secretary could reasonably still be expected ... but there are still things that don't add up
I don't think it would work. Spider monkeys move nothing alike gibbons. Honestly I don't think they could do them justic with the current climbing system. If only they’d used it for the spider monkey instead
Stop trying to rationalize their fear of new world monkeys! (meant in jest, it's all good)I don't think it would work. Spider monkeys move nothing alike gibbons. Honestly I don't think they could do them justic with the current climbing system.
It's the kind of thing I want in a proper sequel. Also I would have liked a squirrel monkey to have morw NWM variety.
I mean they move more like gibbons than sifakas do. Gibbons and spider monkeys both brachiate while sifakas don't. The issue is spider monkeys constantly use their tail while climbing (nothing in the game does this). Spider monkeys also primarily walk quadrupedally on the ground, so they would need different walking animations than the gibbons. Sifakas hop on the ground, so they won't they'll need different walking animations too.I don't think it would work. Spider monkeys move nothing alike gibbons. Honestly I don't think they could do them justic with the current climbing system.

Can't really lose what I never really had.sorry for your loss of tree kangaroos buddy </3

Well I imagine they probably would’ve done an avian pack or something with a bunch of them in thereWhich, if they did, is for the better. Can you imagine if we'd had gotten a total of 2 flying birds? Would have been underwhelming
Lowland Streaked Tenrec... (okay, yeah, probably never even mentioned on here before in any threadWell, at least we know there are plenty of new animals they can tease us with if and when PZ2 becomes a thing, assuming they keep all the animals from PZ1. Walrus, Secretary Bird, Tree Kangaroo, and more.
