I was about to suggest this was the most likely outcome as well. Maybe they do know something, or at least think they do, but occam's razor points to them just putting too much stock into the dictionary thing without knowing the full context of it.

I’m not gonna disagree with your love for this pack, this is an awesome pack! Though I don’t think it’s unfair for people to be mad that this is it.
Awesome pack with awesome animals. Except it hasn’t really addressed the NWM and bird issue plaguing the game since creation. It’s saving grace is it does give South America 1 animal. Over the howler and coati for that matter.
