I'm not too crazy about it but yay colour morphs
It looks great. I really wish we could have snow like that on other maps like temperate for example.
As far as I know, in the so-called "Western zoos", there are far more PD deer owners than Dama Gazelle. It's just what one would find more in western zoos, antelopes especially in African areas are thought more of a traditional zoo animal rather than a deer.
It's just a generalisation as I'm not familiar with how Chinese zoos prioritise their ungulate collections, I'm sure we can argue over specific animals that are more popular than others but it doesn't change how frontier views what ungulates from around the world deserve a place ingame. If anything, the pere david deer should of been part of the conservation dlc but for some reason it wasn't.As far as I know, in the so-called "Western zoos", there are far more PD deer owners than Dama Gazelle.
Then again in the western zoos there’s no wild yakAs far as I know, in the so-called "Western zoos", there are far more PD deer owners than Dama Gazelle.
Then what? What do you want to express? Did we get domesticated yaks?? Also, the number of domestic yaks should be more than that of markhor or dikdiks. Then again in those western there’s no wild yak
The United States is responsible for the "zombie virus", so each state is very strict on deer.I might be wrong, but there isn't a import restriction and prohibition of moving they though states for deers on US? Making then very hard to obtain and mantain a exotic deer population on the country? Not sure about Mexico and Canada though.
What would you replace with the deer? It's just a generalisation as I'm not familiar with how Chinese zoos prioritise their ungulate collections, I'm sure we can argue over specific animals that are more popular than others but it doesn't change how frontier views what ungulates from around the world deserve a place ingame. Maybe the oryx? Any of the ungulates would work from wetlandsWhat would you replace with the deer?
Amur Leopard, Przewalski's Horse and Scimitar-Horned Oryx all have the most iconic conservation stories, and I feel like all of them are essential to a conservation DLC.
...that only leaves one possible slot...
How could you have a conservation DLC in Planet Zoo without the one iconic animal that was saved by zoos?Maybe the oryx? Any of the ungulates would work from wetlands
Well assuming we get the lar gibbon regardless, the siamang could of easily been the deer but then it's starting to feel like the arid pack if we go that route. A lot of people were excited for the new brachiation mechanics that the siamang brought even in their basic form until the lar gibbon arrived. I don't know, a lot of the dlc we have got missed the mark by one animal and conservation was just that. What would you replace with the deer?

Dude, how China exhibits ungulates is not really relevant, let's look at some data. I'm going to assume that the Western zoos you mentioned are mainly European and American zoos (if you disagree, you can tell me which Western zoos you generally refer to). Then according to the data on zootierliste, let me give you a few examples. There are 233 zoos that own Reeves' muntjac in the EU, non-EU European countries, and North America. There are 95 Axis deer. There are 334 Sika deer, including all subspecies. There are 82 PD deer. There are 32 tufted deer. There are 32 Visayan spotted deer. And what about antelopes....bongo only 98. There are 69 Nyala. There are 57 Black sable antelope. There are 94 Addax. There are 152 Scimitar-horned oryx. There are 49 Nile lechwe. There are 35 Addra gazelle. There are 36 White-tailed gnu. From the above data, I don't see that antelopes are more common in "Western zoos". So, it just doesn't make sense that deer and antelopes are so rare in the game. It's just a generalisation as I'm not familiar with how Chinese zoos prioritise their ungulate collections, I'm sure we can argue over specific animals that are more popular than others but it doesn't change how frontier views what ungulates from around the world deserve a place ingame. I'm sure this has been mentioned plenty of times before when the Asian ungulates support was here last year or in your Asian deer thread. Zootierliste has a lot of German / central European wildlife parks or similar that are full of deer. I'm talking about the fully fledged conservation zoos, the ones that frontier visit to study the animals. I or others likely don't want to sift through hundreds of zootierliste entries to compare results.Dude, how China exhibits ungulates is not really relevant, let's look at some data.
