As for zoos, only needed deer are muntjac or pudu, Pere David’s Deer, and maybe elk
I'm honestly much happier with the Dik-dik, even though Muntjac was in my original wishlist in 2021...
Perhaps it's the fact that I've never seen Muntjac outside of a mixed exhibit, just always with other stuff, but I feel like Dik-dik is better cuz it stands out as its own thing. Muntjac just feels like an animal you throw into a red panda or crane enclosure without much thought, Dik-Dik is something I'm excited to build a new enclosure for.
But honestly I wouldn't have complained about Muntjac.
Pudu on the other hand... I feel like I'd use it a lot less than either a muntjac or a Dik-Dik.

All animals are amazing and unique. But there is no other conservation story like Père David’s deer. It had all begun 124 years ago when the last deer in China was killed and remaining individuals were sent to Europe just right before that.
The current world population, now found in zoos and parks around the world, stems from the Woburn Abbey herd formed in the UK. Only three founders (1 male, two females) from the Berlin Zoo contributed to the current population of all Père David’s deer in the world.
Père David’s deer is the only species with extinct in the wild status. I can’t believe that species with such a significance was not included in zoo game that focuses on conservation.
I just wished for them to join the roster so much.

agreed, a bit disappointed as well but fine given the fact that nexus rewards modders monetarily, unlike Steam
Planet Zoo currently has 187 animals, with the Zookeeper DLC and the 5th Anniversary it will reach 195 animals.
Just 5 animals up to 200 which is an iconic and impressive mark but Frontier chose to stop? Bro, if that final pack had 12 animals Planet Zoo would end with exactly 200 animals. I can't see Frontier bringing 5 animals after Zookeepers, what a strange decision.

That is, unless we get another standard scenery pack, which I'm willing to bet money won't happen.

What really had me hoping for a 12 animal pack was the fact that we already had a 12 animal pack with grasslands... Well, kind of.

I would've absolutely loved a Extinct in the Wild DLC
Would be cool if they would do what I've had as a Idea and would release a few single Animals as additional DLCs for maybe 2€ after the normal ones stopped
I mean yeah, that would have been nice. I get that the butterflies were the same model with textures, but the pack still felt “big” because of it.
A Zookeeper pack with only 7 animals and no exhibit does feel puny.
Aviary with 4 Birds would've been cool or a Pond Exhibit
This isn't something I expected to get, just kind of my biggest (impossible) dream in PZ.
A Stingray touch tank.
I would have loved that so flipping much... Hoping that the sequel will include something like that!
