The answer to that is that they didn't plan for an India Animal Pack when making the Eurasia Animal Pack
I can see this being something else than an india pack. But safari? Idk, safaris are so unanimous with like savannas and stuff that putting rainforest vibes and temple stuff on the cover would be very bizarre.
This is my ideal roster except I’d add the muntjac somewhere there as well probably for the gator or the deer even though I love both of those animals
Monkey is very significant to China and first time ever was imported to Europe this year to two different zoos.
Gator is one of the most endangered reptiles out there plus super easy to make for frontier.
I tried to to balance everything and everyone.
On the contrary pheasant and duck is not for me

I really hope for muntjac in India pack.
I got you but the Reeves is the more essential species. And India needs its essential ungulates with Blackbuck, Nilgai, Chital, and Gaur so I almost would prioritize those more and leave the muntjac for east Asia imo

Raccoon dogs aren't really for me, but I like the golden Snub-nosed monkeyz... They've been growing on me ever since they were imported to Europe this year. Honestly, I'd say it's one of the primates I want the most.
I know safaris aren't exclusively based in African savannahs (there are also Arctic safaris for example), but nothing in that concept art makes me think of safari. I think the most likely themes are general Asia or Rainforest/Jungle. Everyone is taking for granted India, but there's no evidence for being so specific, especially if we are getting an elephant.
I think potential Highland and Safari packs were conglomerated into Zookeeper's

If this is a more general asia pack i would assume they would do a different approach for theming, since our other packs with a big asia focus (SEA,tropical) already both go for that temple in the jungle vibe. If i had to do one id probably put like chinese pagodas or something on there because those are instantly recognizeable as asian.
And i think someone pointed out that the pillar in the front of the pack art is from the india theme, so there is that.
Pretty clear at this point that they wanted to wind down with Barnyard and Zookeeper but PC2 wasn't successful enough to justify that.
This does make sense but the sifaka is odd
If it is the entire Asian continent, then I really want the Reeve's Muntjac instead of the Indian one. And of course the most important asian bird, the Golden Pheasant. I'm sorry for modders, but they can't get th tail of the Pheasants to work, we really need an official one, but I think they also have trouble with it, you would think Peacock's tail feathers are harder to create, but I think the long pheasant ones are the hardest ones, even harder than the manta ray tail + shape.
True, the honey badger is a weird choice to represent Asia, but it's also a weird choice to represent India or South Asia
