People want another zebra, another giraffe, we have multiple leopards and foxes and wolves, we have two flamingos, so many pigs and goats and antelope, we're getting a fourth deer...

I get that it takes up a slot and isn't everyone's pick. But why must everyone jump on this horrible bandwagon. Using words like "rancid" is just so extremely hateful. This animal is nearly extinct, I feel so sad that such a vulnerable animal is being spoken about this way on a forum of animal lovers.

Yeah, that is exactly how I felt last time when people were hating on the Coyote. I really understand that some animal choices are unpopular. Yes, it could have been something else. Yes, we can let Frontier know that. But using degrodatory terms for the animal itself just feels weird to me on a personal level. I feel like it was a bit worse with the coyote, but I skipped some pages on here, so maybe I missed alot regarding the elephant.

I have to admit that I would prefer Sri Lanka Elephant, because I think it would look more distinctive, but I am sure that once I will see the new elephant on screenshot, I will like it alot, Frontier can do amazing details on animal skin nowdays. I am very curious about it.

I know it feels very demotivating to see all the hate on an animal that you are looking forward to. I will cheer on the elephant with you. :giggle:

i agree with you i actually want this elephant more than i want the deer that everyone is so happy about

If I had to rate the animals in this pack, for me it would be:
  1. Badger
  2. Lion-tailed macaque / Elephant
  3. Deer
Honestly, it’s not a pack with any animal I truly love so far, but I do like the elephant more than the deer. Out of all the elephant options, this was the one I wanted

For the last 3 slots I would personally pick:

1. Golden Pheasant / Himalayan Monal - Honestly you cannot go wrong with a colourful bird.

2. Blackbuck / Nilgai - We need an asian antelope, I would prefer Nilgai, but Blackbuck seems more likely.

3. Raccoon Dog - I think it is a fairly popular pick. Frontier loves Dogs, I love dogs. It is a match.

Even if many dislike the elephant, I think the DLC can still end up really great.
