One thing that i just thought of thats a little dangerous about an India animal pack is that people are gonna start asking for all sorts of country based packs 
.Eventhough i personally think there are at best a handfull of semi realistic options.
(also yeah i know we already had one with australian, but i think thats a sort of special case)

Thats what I said, and I totally agree. Only two special cases I can think of is China and Australia.One thing that i just thought of thats a little dangerous about an India animal pack is that people are gonna start asking for all sorts of country based packs

I feel like Australia Pack was less about the country and more about the island/"continent" (subcontinent?), and I think this pack will be in the same boat. So, I don't think this upcoming DLC will be called the India Animal Pack, but rather the South Asia Animal Pack.
Another reason why I think this is that, seeing how recent DLCs worked, it's probably going to include scenery... and I doubt the theme for the scenery is gonna be called "India" again (since we already have an India theme in the base game).

Man, that would've been a fun sight. Would the modern Sumatran Rhino be able to survive in colder temperatures? Or was Chinese variant probably more suited for that exact enviroment

Fair point...but for me it's still differentI always like to look for the bright side of things. If we are getting a third elephant, then there's still hope for my beloved Eurasian brown bear one day
Because the elephant model is holding up okay, the bear models.. eh. And then there is the captive holding numbers, but with that I am biased, I live in europe. People from other continents would find them pretty much useless.The bush dog inclusion gave me hope for the raccoon dog.

Northern subspecies most likely, but obviously due to small sample size we have no clue.
This is more unusual fact about, but foret living sumatran rhinos appear to be bald, solely because they constantly wear off fur while passing through dense undergrowth. In captivite setting said fur can overgrow giving it unusual appearance.
This is how shaggy sumatran rhinos can get.
I don't see the hate with Sumatran rhinos, it has a ton of potential with fur variants.
I think most who dislike their potential inclusion feel so because they’re nonexistent in captivity these days, or because we already have the three most common rhinos.

I think they in this context will consider India a subcontinent rather than a country. If I remember correctly, it is already referred to as a subcontinent in the game. I suppose in the Indian scenario map but I might remember wrong.
In that case, I'm pretty sure the bulk of the world sees India as a country...
the funniest thing about this whole pack gotta be the fact South-East Asia is most likely getting more representation on top of its already impressive roster to choose from

People have been asking for all kinds of packs since the game started. Just because we got an India DLC doesn't mean a bunch of other countries now suddenly deserve one. Australia is a special case...so is India with it being a unique subcontinent.
I don't appreaciate them charging us for remasters of the animals we already have paid for before though. Just make a new versión of the game if that's the case. Also the asian elephant isn't exactly the animal that needs this treatment

Southeast Asia's roster is surprisingly stacked...
By 2023, Southeast Asia had four primates (orangutan, proboscis monkey, siamang, gibbon) while the entirety of South America only had one.
It already had some base game animals like the crocodile, orangutan and Komodo Dragon, then got its own dedicated pack, AND later additions coming from Wetlands, Conservation, Tropical (which also added an amazing scenery set inspired by Southeast Asia), and Eurasia.
I was slightly shocked to see that Zookeeper Animal Pack included no Southeast Asian representation... And now, this region is most likely getting more animals - and I'm all for it.
I feel like it's time to finally get started on that Southeast Asian zoo I wanted to make all those years ago...
