Yeah they said its an animal pack, and the pack art style is in line with the other animal packsBut to put the blackbuck on they’d have to spoil/tease it. Are we even sure this is an animal pack yet? It’s oddly broken the pattern we’ve had of DLCs since Eurasia, it could be a scenery pack and then they definitely wouldn’t put three animals on the teaser art.
A Sri Lankan elephant would just be so bizarre though. A) it would mean this isn’t an India pack but a South Asia pack (which branding wise would be very confusing with Southeast Asia, especially as they’ve also chosen purple again as the pack colour, same if this was just an ‘Asia pack’.
So really it’s got to be India looking at the two Indian species on the front that they chose to tease (neither the ratel or the macaque are found outside India on the Asian continent).
If we had a different Asian elephant already I’d say sure, it could be an Indian elephant as they’re well known/famous. But I do not see a chance of Frontier adding a Sri Lankan elephant, and the more famous Bornean and Sumatran elephants simply don’t appear to fit the theme whatsoever.
Y’know ‘here’s the official branding for a new pack cover for the whole of Asia’ so here’s a load of Indian exclusive species and a temple, but lol we’ve thrown a Bornean elephant (that will easily be confused for an Indian elephant) in the back for the demonstrate this is a whole of Asia pack? It doesn’t make sense from a branding point of view imo, you’d have to make the official art more clear it isn’t India only…
They NEVER showed in all the almost 20 DLC Key Arts an animal or its silhouette that was not in the pack.Using The Gyro In The Back For Height Comparison, It Turns Out The Elephant Is The Indian One Already In The Game.View attachment 430741
A boat?
They did, actually - there are bison in the Arctic key art. They NEVER showed in all the almost 20 DLC Key Arts an animal or its silhouette that was not in the pack.
We need to admit we'll have a reskin of the Indian Elephant.
Lol no they don't.The elephants we have look terrible compared to the animals from the latest DLCs... At the very least, a new elephant would come with a good model.
Rhinos, however, we already have three, two of which look really good
Yeah. They realize their mistake too.late. we could have had more. It's honestly crazy how we went for three years without any monkeys only to get three back to back
Same... Asiatic Lion would be a much better choice for a clone. But the elephant is something we -sadly- have to be prepared for, since it's basically half confirmed (unless it turns out that it's really just there for the vibes, which is highly unlikely)Lol no they don't.
They are probably some of the animals from the base game that still hold up well.
Is not a lion or hyena or wolf or okapi situation in which they are barelly usable because of how low quality or cartoony they look. So they are not by any means a priority in terms of clones as update that we need. I rather get an asiatic lion.
No please, Gaur's are much more important, they are the biggest bovine in the world, and look much better than these created-by-humans cows.Havent seen anyone mention the zebu yet. Now that we have the barnyard pack its not unreasonable to think they could sprinkle in another domestic species here or there, especially when they are such emblematic indian animals and so important to the culture.

I was half joking. Although I dont want any more cats (I would not mind Serval, but any other I absolutely dont care about), I know people want them, so I know we probably will end up with more of them.I’m the opposite. I feel dogs are wayyyy over represented in this game compared to how common they are in zoos (and even how many species there are in general). And a lot quite heavily overlap (two wolves, two foxes and a coyote for NA?). Heck even Europe has three canids.
The only one I’d really appreciate now is the raccoon dog for the far East (an area without huge diversity or representation in game).
Cats on the other hand are really common in zoos and there’s a lot of them. For me the serval is a must. But I’m also open for the European wildcat, fishing cat, bobcat, Canadian lynx etc.
Oh WOW, indeed! They did, actually - there are bison in the Arctic key art.
NGL, that’s a bad way to “conclude” it’s not gonna be Sri Lankan elephants. Animal sizes vary quite a bit in-game, so that’s not a reliable indicator. Even if sizes are consistent, it’s not like Indian and Sri Lankan elephants can't be the same sizeUsing The Gyro In The Back For Height Comparison, It Turns Out The Elephant Is The Indian One Already In The Game.View attachment 430741
Yeah, honestly kinda feels like a fever dream. Its almost surreal that were approaching a place were you can almost call monkeys decently represented. Still need one for african and atleast one more for south america for me to call them well represented, but hey where getting there. It's honestly crazy how we went for three years without any monkeys only to get three back to back
Could be, looks like it is on the land though.A boat?
I really hope we get something like De Brazza's Monkey and Golden Lion Tamarin in the future... With the addition of the Lion-Tailed Macaque I feel like Asia has a pretty decent primate roster, and Madagascar has four lemur species which is a really good number in my opinion (although I wouldn't mind an aye-aye)Yeah, honestly kinda feels like a fever dream. That's a hilarious joke. 80 more Indian building pieces for you!One thing I haven't seen brought up is how the King Cobra will 100% pop up.
