Well, I have no idea why you think they would implement plants in their horns in the model in the first place. That is not like a regular state of the animal. Not sure why that would affect the quality of the horns at all. It could be an animation I guess, but I am not expecting it as it would probably be harder to implement at this stage of the game lifecycle.

They simply did not show the male because they are keeping it for the showcase. Sometimes it is as simple as that.

Last time there were many worries about the saki having the typical sexual dimorphs, and of course they had it. So why would the antler of the male Deer be awful? Its just one pic we saw and there were just 2 female and there cubs. Dont read to much into this fact...

The male deer in PD deer wrap various plants around their horns, which usually occurs during the breeding season. This is to make the antlers look bigger and attract females. For me, if this phenomenon is a new animation, such as the male deer rubbing against a certain place and then having more plants on the horns, then this design will be excellent. If not, then I don't think it is necessary to reflect it in the game.
Honestly, the antlers were the part I was least worried about; I was actually worried about the details of the "tail".

Lol i just posted something similar in another thread. No pheasants in an Asia Pack (in favor of a copy paste of base game animal that didn't need a new versión) is as bad as no coati in the Américas pack and is making me angry i swear.

I hope they keep the top 10 most wanted animals for one big ending DLC though, I really need my Shoebill and Secretary Bird in Planet Zoo 1, and not in 2, which I won't buy until a few years in when you can buy it with many DLC included

I actually like the himalayan brown bear and use it more than the grizzly I actually like having to work around the snow. The bonobo is free to go though because it every way its a chimp clone.

asia is literally the birth place of waterfowl and landfowl there were hundreds of amazing options to pick from and they just didnt for some unknowable reason.

I am relatively sure the bonobo would be frequently mentioned as a missing animal that needs to be added by a lot of people. They're held in a lot of the major German zoos, so I actually like them myself and always use them instead of the actual chimps. It wouldn't be awful not to have them, but I always liked that they were included.

I also always use bonobo and prefer them to regular chimps.

The same goes for HBB - I use them all the time and rarely ever touch grizzly. 🤷🏽‍♂️

It's all about personal preference - that's why we have choices.

Not every species will appeal to everyone, and that's okay.

If something isn't for you, there's no need to engage with it.

But remember: what might be your least favorite could very well be someone else's absolute favorite.

At this stage I’m just trying to not let my bitterness ruin anyone fun, but I am very annoyed. I was happy getting two birds in the last pack, but I’m not gonna disagree if anyone says the Rhea and Flamingo were probably the easiest possible option for bird representation.

I’m still super bitter over the lack of ducks, and as you guys mentioned no new pheasant in what feels like our 4th Asian pack is just downright stupid.

Fossa, come on, go easy on them. Frontier is indie company so going easy route for profit maximization makes sense. What would investors say, if DLC profits fallen by 2%, because they included dumb bird over prestigous mammal. Do you want this company to commit financial suicude?

Almost like they’re intentionally holding them back for Planet Zoo 2.

It’s not like they haven’t had opportunities to include at least a few of them in the Zookeepers or Americas packs.

What if we all change our wishlist to put animals we don't care about in the top 10 so that they ignore those ones and give us the ones we actually want?

Ehh... not sure you're being serious or silly, but... pretty sure that would require a lot of votes to get less popular animals to the top... also, there's so many less popular animals that they would still need to compete for a spot in DLC.

I'm being silly. I wouldn't change the wishlist as its purpose is to show the developers what we want. I just thought it was a funny idea to change the wishlist if we believe that the devs are holding up the top spot species for a possible PZ2. There are literally 9 species out of the top 10 meta wishlist I want in the game (in the current PZ I mean because I'm not sure I will buy a sequel).
