Do the thargoids still exist?

I saw this the other night in Rigel...

Thought it was strange that there were so many (16 total sources), but no planets in the system. Future invasion staging point?

You're near the Witch Head nebula, known zone of Thargoid activity. Nothing technically unusual about it out there.

I am exploring and entered a system inside the California nebula. My scan revealed over 60 signatures. Mostly non human, a good number of weapon fire and a few distress signals along with a hidden (i suppose no so much) station. Are these Thargoid Carcasses or live ones that someone is hunting atm? Debating on risking my ship getting closer.. they may not appreciate the guardian weapons and such.

I have been trying out different weapons load outs for fighting Scouts and Cyclops's. There are a few old game play Thargoid sites still in the bubble. Triton and Lethe systems are close together and both have a mega ship being attacked. I just put 6 mod shards with premium ammo in a corsair. Fun! one shot takes a scout and I think its 4 takes out a Cyclops. No waiting around they show up You fly over. Boom boom boom boom and bobs your uncle there dead. Plan on 2 heat sinks per Cyclopes kill. Now all I need is a ground settlement defense battle and credits will roll in at an incredible pace. It will be useless against basi or hydras unless their other Cmdrs around to help. o7 all Find your fun and go for it!!

Thargoid wise we are up to date with the not supported console version from 10 years ago.
