Done every other grind in the game, but ...

... just can't bring myself to do the Guardian module grind.

Having reached Tripple Elite back before it got easy, I'm no stranger to grind.
I've unlocked all the Engineers and fully engineered 25+ ships.

I may have done the grind for the guardian frameshift booster, but it's not currently available.

None of the Guardian weapons are compelling enough to me.

If you want to fight thargoids, the guardian gauss are the meta, and definitely worth the grind.

I got lucky and did the Ram Tah I mission after the release of 3.0 where you got lots of blueprints, so
I didn't had to grind that much, though.

Id wait to see what 3.1 brings as
  1. The process might be more time friendly
  2. There will be new modules and weapons so there might be what tickles your appetite

Agree with both the above: Gauss are worth it (but glitching the BP was easier), and the 'grind' is supposedly less in 3.1 so best to wait.

Bit bizarre talking about 'every grind in the game' when I've got max ranks elites etc without any grinding, but I guess if you choose to grind that must by your bag - hopefully they'll add some more grind for you soon :)

im in the same boat. but i also dont feel the need to fight the goids or grind magic weapons to fight them with..

It's not too bad once you get going with it. After you get going in the groove for doing one loop rep for a blueprint, it just becomes almost the same as hunting for mesiodorite or outcrop mats in the time for each loop. You also can gain a lot of the other guardian mats as well to max. After the 3rd or 4th loop , I just turned on some media/nflx or music the same as when SRV , mining or CZ mat scavenging for the rest of the 18-20 iterations needed. Of course someday, I'd hope doing a single puzzle loop would yield 3x blueprints instead of one, since FD mentioned they would look into it in a stream response..

Frontier announced they *may* reconsider repetitiveness of blueprint acquisition and *may adjust* the values in the next patch. Which is less than month away. I'd wait (which I'm doing right now) and see what comes.

There is no need to grind in this game, unless you really want to. Any and all games can be grinded, if you want/need to. I am proud to say that I don't grind, I don't have time for that.

IMO, FDev should have made it so the sites only became active for a short time every month (if possible, based on planetary orbits, perhaps) and with different sites active at different times.

That way, people would only get one bite at it per month, it'd reduce the compulsion to grind the poop out of it "while you're there" and it'd create some kind of incentive to make the journey several times.

1000Ly isn't really very far to travel but it's enough of a trek that it adds to the feeling of "well, I might as well get everything now I'm here", which magnifies the feeling of grind.

Well, obviously. You can always just not play the game.

I play the game fine as I do. But like you say you can choose not to, play and/or grind. It's a choice.

People arent going to travel 1000ly to do it once when you need so much blueprints.

I never travel to an engineer solely to engineer. If I got some business in the area, and got spare materials and data, I'll do a few rolls on appropriate equipment. Also like mentioned, 1000Ly is nothing.

I am a strong believer in that quite a few people treat this game as something it isn't. This is not a game you casually play for an hour 3 times a week. Yes, you can hop on and do a mission or two, but it really is a commitment if you want to do more in-depth actions of any kind.

Just curious. Why would it be a joke? You talking about the guardian weapon blueprints? If so why do you need them?
I dont need them, but I would want all the weapons and modules ofcourse.
Those charge PAs looks awesome and im interested in that gauss weapon too. And with the return of the fsd booster. 10ly extra on a corvette is mighty sweet.

Actually totally forgot, to the OP, I don't do the Guardian stuff either. It is too repetitive, without any worthwhile rewards. I'll have a look at them once 3.1 hits and the following 4-5 fixpatches to iron out the flaws and guaranteed bugs

I want them too. But there is no way in hell I am going through that grind for them. Hopefully they will have changed it up a bit for 3.1.
