Don’t Nerf Mining, Buff Everything Else

The start of the title cracks me up. Don't Nerf Mining ... ? They buffed mining even more in this release (core mining)! In addition to that they seem to have made Tritium trading the meta money making activity now ... if you can stand doing it.

Oh? And when did that happen? I've been play Elite for over 30 years and it was never about instant achievements of all goals.
What’s this about goals? I thought you said there was no “endgame”😜 also I spent a week grinding for fleet carriers , that’s not instant , I thought it was perfect

When I can spend more missiles than I care to admit to shoot down that dangerous/deadly/elite clipper and ONLY get a paultry 90k sometimes WITH a KWS, than turn around and get 100k+ from a master then BH needs to be buffed and maybe scaled a BIT better.

. but elite isn’t that game .its for the everyday joe people who want a fleet carrier befor or they die. nothing in this game is hard core like eve or wow
Except elite WAS that game for a good while it is just been chipped at for the last 6 years... So you have people who got the game knowing it was a long term game with long term goals AND you have people who essentially want a sandbox with no progression at all.
Not sure what the solution is (a separate sandbox mode perhaps like Minecraft has? The problem is ED isn't really a sandbox imo ... Take away progression and I don't think the game has that much - well except VR but I won't go there in this thread ;) )
For me if I want to know what game ED is meant to be going forward i look at the KSer, the elite Dev diaries and all that stuff (dare I say DDF? )because it was those features which sold the game to me.

Keep in mind that 'weeks' here is measured as 24/7 gameplay, AFAIK. So, 8 weeks is actually 1500 hours, which is borderline on unreasonable, more so when it completely obstructs some professions altogether, like PvP.

It wouldn't bother me if mining was nerfed, however, I would like the prices to be more consistent and not swing wildly between high prices and low prices especially in a short period of time.

Tell me, what does it change for your family if, after 2 weeks of playing, you are able to afford a fleet carrier or only Anaconda?

You seem to be in some sort of a hurry to finish this game.
If so, then just stop playing.
Most people like to achieve their goals instead of slaveing over a game

TBH I'd have thought with all the family pressures, only having one game to purchase and learn and play over a period of many years would be a definite advantage.
