I respectfully disagree but to each their own.
I would be ok with it of we could build NPC empires which could cover offline expenses.wirh ofline earnings but I think FD have said they don't want ED to be that kind of game. It would also be a lot of work...... At the very least the infrastructure to do this should go in at the same time as offline expenses.imo.
I haven't been able to play ED for close to 6 months now as I have not been able to wear contacts for a while and my glasses don't fit in my rift. Had I of had a FC I would have likely lost it by now and lost most of my money.
But maybe FCs just are not meant for me.
(Lenses are back in and am almost ready to fly again tho I am miles from the bubble at the moment so IF I had a FC I would be unable to maintain it)

I used to think this forum was crap, and toxic. I think it might have been at times in the past, "No offline mode", "PvP verses PvE". However when you try other flavours, you realise the forum is a function of the Internet and actually quite a good one.
A forum is not a place for reasoned debate (actually one of the hotel california threads accidentally ventured into this territory on a quiet week when we had run out of insoluts but tts an exception). The nature of the Internet is a post created "tribes" and people rally to thei tribe that reflects their point if view. If they do not care they do not comment, so most posts are from users with a passionate view on the subject.
Back on track started a new commander last Friday, playing a couple of hours most days (about 12 hours).
Worth about 25MCr mission running. Went from Sidewinder to Cobra, no need for Hauler, Adder level. So in many ways income from missions is broken in the opposite direction to start with, although I do know (somewhat) what I am doing.

I can see the offline element could be a problem, but it isn't without a solution.
It's often I need to go away for work to areas that have no internet, or not good enough internet or I don't have enough time to do anything but work eat sleep so I agree getting all that sort prior to the off could be a problem. I'm sure there is a way around it though.
It would be interesting to investigate a workable model, as opposed to the forums exploding.

I actually do like CQC for what it is but it is separate from the main game really.... Also last I looked the ED player case were hardly champing at the bit to play it. Not the roaring success of COD that is for sure.
I really hope odyssey is not FDs attempt to get Fortnite players.othwewise that could be the new CQC as well but I digress

It was a tongue-in-cheek post by the way
CQC is tacked on, I played it briefly (28% Harmless yay), it's kind of fun and as close to the COD experience in Elite's realm. Would be better if it was fully integrated into the main game but it is what it is. Wish I could remove the CQC rank from the right hand panel.

Preceded to complain on the forum that the game is too easy and needs bills , respectfully, “haveing things sorting” does not include advocating for change.
