Drinking fountains

The water in the toilet is free.
In shops you still have to pay for a bottle.

Good suggestion. But not as a replacement for shops for me
you'd drink water from the toilet?? In my country we just bring a water bottle from home and refill it for free throughout the day.

Lol. You are funny.

Not everybody takes drinks from home. It's a good suggestion. But from a money making perspective not effective.

It's law in New Zealand that public venues have to provide some kind of free water. Every restaurant or cafe you go to will have a water station or have water provided free to the table. You can still buy bottled water if you want, but it's never totally necessary.

I agree that some kind of water fountain would be a good idea in the game. It would be a cheap and effective way of sorting out the thirst stat.

Water is considered a human right in the United Nations. I don't know what kind of hellish place would force its citizens to buy water.
Yeah.... Theory and Reality ^^

You see, most dont have any Laws that force to give out free Water IF no Alcohol is sold.

My has this law as well as several european countries I've been to.
And yes, you have to pay the water bill for water at home, but is generally really cheap due to it being a basic human right.

And clean public drinking water are always free. It does sound kinda hellish to live in a lace where water costs money.

Even if your country doesnt have it, fountains should be in the game for the people who want them.

Worst part when you go to a large party/event.
Buying a cup/bottle of water is 2x-3x more expensive than beer.. They remove the cap and you're not allowed to refill it by the taps near the toilets.
Great excuse to drink beer..

Never seen a drinking fountain in any of the zoos i've been, but i'd welcome it in this game..

I think this is a requested feature because of the high drinking demands of your visitors :p

The only Law that forces to have "free public fresh Water" is in Australia AND only if a Hotels, nightclubs, bars, and casinos are also sells Alcohol.

To date, the European Union has passed no laws requiring establishments in its member countries to provide free tap water. The owners of European restaurants and other establishments can choose whether they provide it or not.

In the United States, restaurants have no legal obligation to serve free drinking water to customers as no law requires restaurants to do so.

So.... be happy New Zealand, you are the 1% ^^

Even if no law is passed, most of european bars/restaurants will give you free water if you ask for it. Same for most of the states (all this from personal experience), and I've never been to a zoo or a park without drinking fountains.

Especially in hot regions.

My problem with vending machines is that it is a very commercialized concept. In a real zoo from my experience the water are free. Forcing guests to pay for water is a very greedy and theme park like idea, not something you'd expect in a zoo.
Who said it has to be water only? Sodas or candies?

Easy for you to say coming from countries who are controlling half of the world's economy. Imagine other poor countries that can't afford to even provide clean water because their economy was run down due to past histories of invasion by other countries who wanted to steal their resources and colonize it only to leave it suffering after they left.

In real life you can drink tapped water for free (even from toilet sink). In Planet Zoo I would love to have vending machines.
