Dropped Explore Data? Map Glitch?

I'm currently returning from a long rim voyage and am currently about 6k LY from home@ Shinrarta Dezhra. Travelling between Explorers Anchorage and Shinrarta I've come across two systems now that when I select them the map shows me the system map, like I had been there before. I open the map and all stars planets are labeled 'unexplored'. I went to one of these systems scratching my head as this route, Explorers to Shinrarta, was not on my route out to the rim. So why am I able to view the system map, yet all stars/planets show untagged/discovered?

Is it possible a previous voyage, when turning in data, the data was corrupted or dropped somehow? It sure has me scratching my head. Maybe I just need more coffee and missing the obvious answer.

it depends how long you played.

in my case that could be a system i jumped to before objects where resolved without pointing at them.

so, many years ago, jumping into a system did not tag a star as explored, if i wouldn't target the star and wait for it to resolve. that was changed .... 2016 or 2017?

system maps show if other people have handed in the system as well. Not sure if they will show who if you are remote - could be glitched or working as expected

Goemon, that is a possibility. I do remember my second voyage as to the 'north' from the bubble so it might be possible I jumped and scooted and didn't point. Thanks. I was getting ready to call Scully and Mulder.
