[DSSA] The Aphelion Expedition

How does haulage work? Can't the miners just deliver straight to the carrier that needs fuelling?

A) At the starting system of the flotilla first the FCs will have to be loaded with Tritium.

B) After the Fleet is on its way, if a CMDRs want he can haul Tritium on board and drop it to the FC later.

C) Once the Flotilla reaches Sag A* the refueling will begin. Most of this is mining, yes, but there will also be some shuffeling between support FCs and main DSSA FCs where needed (same possible later at Beagle Point for the returning support FCs).

When you say some, do you mean there will be a supply chain, from miner to support FC to main FC, or do you mean shuffling only when necessary?

In regards to point C) I'd say shuffling only when necessary. I would imagine that most miners will transport what they have mined themselves. Now, if the hotspots used are far enough away maybe a transport FC will be used if it makes sense, but I don't think anything in that regard is planed yet and I would not assume it to be the case as of now.

All in all the major point of hauling will be at the start of the flotilla and as tritium drop-ships. The rest might happen, but it depends on many factors and how everything goes along the way.

Tritium is laser mined right? Meaning you don't need a nimble ship.
To be honest, I know naff all about Tritium mining. I guess maybe I thought it was deep core or something. Guess I'll bolt some mining lasers to the Cutter then....although the though of being out there and actually filling it isn't super exciting. I find that after about 100 tonnes of anything I get terminally bored.

Sounds like we need someone in charge of morale, lol

That's why I'm taking my DW2 Python.
I can't imagine filling up a cutter in anything less than a triple overlap. Even Borann gets tedious (spicy chat and all) after an hour or so. That's when I tend to sell up and go get the hatchbreaker courier...

Mining tritium for the Aphelion Expedition carriers has started! Please come and help get the DSSA Carriers to their destinations. The fleet is currently at the double tritium hotspot in STUEMEAE GG-Y C3272, planet 9. Alternatively, if you are feeling lucky you can prospect for a triple tritium hotspot!

Jump on the FleetComm Discord server for more details.

This is beautiful!
Im currently on a deep exploration venture in the Acheron sector, boardering the Abyss.
I just potted my final leg of my journey to Beagle Point, with 9.2k Ly to go.
I'm in need of some repairs so meeting up with you guys will be golden.
Along the way I'll take note of any Tri I come across.
See you commanders soon!
