Duplicating map

Hi
Is it possible to duplicate a "basic " map ( i mean : paths only , to have the same reference ) , to apply to an other park ?
Thanks

You can't save just the paths as an blueprint item, but if you save the park with just the paths, etc. as a 'park' blueprint, then yes.

Im not sure if I fully understand the question, but heres my guess: Are you saying you want to take an existing park and remake it from scratch, but without changing the layout of the paths??

Paths can not be saved as a blue print, they can only be saved with your entire park... So, the only way to do that would be to create a new save file from the original park, then individually delete all the rides and scenery, then load the blank park into the scenario editor and reset it to year 1... but aside from that, I dont think there is any easier way to do what you're asking, good luck!

I was assuming he was saving a park with just the path layout and no other stuff. If that's not the case, then yes you will have to delete the scenery...which isn't that hared to do in mass selects and deletes.

To Wowman and Breezerhog , thanks so much for your responses .
I'm going to try !!!!!!! [wink] [up]

why do you call a park save file a "blueprint"?? thats confusing, blueprints are not full park saves... blueprints are small and can be placed within a park... you cannot place an entire park as a blueprint

Yes - you can save parks as blueprints for only your personal use.

again, unless I am mistaken here... you cannot save an entire park as a blueprint... blueprints are small place-able items

a park save file is just that, a park save file, they can be for sandbox or scenarios

just a terminology thing. if you are saving a park as a shell for paths...I see that as a blueprint park, that is used over and over again as a starting point for new parks to be created from. Not meant to confuse the topic.

the OP was asking for help, I wouldnt want him looking for a "blueprint park" option when none exists. He was specifically asking about paths, which cannot be duplicated, thats why I felt the need to be specific and clear up any confusion

Hi guys

Thanks for your help ! And i just found the soluce by duplicating my park file in the "Save folder " in the Planet coaster Directory ; not making "blueprint" . So i got the same park with the original paths ; that's what i wanted . [big grin] [up]
