Here's a few Ringed Earthlike Worlds within around 3 thousand light years of WP3. They're off the beaten path, but worth the trip if you can make it. Screenshots of GRU DRYIAE RL-B D14-63 by CMDR SpatialSnowflake.

Flyua Hypue TA-D d13-37 is a class K star with .9 solar masses. The earthlike is in a co-orbit with a class III gas giant and has metal rich rings.

GRU DRYIAE RL-B D14-63 is of a unique nature, in that this ringed earthlike is orbiting a neutron star at a distance of 2156Ls. This planet was first discovered by CMDR Polarbear and mapped by myself.

Ringed Earth-Like World, not too far from POI 2.

Found a system that is only 108ly away from Eagle's Landing that has 2 NSPs.
System: PLAA AESCS SZ-S B3-8

NSP 1)
These are just some mineral spheres & metallic crystals but they are in a planet's ring. With the planet in the background it looks amazing.

NSP 2)
Might be more interesting. This is a Rubicundum Lagrange Cloud, not too far away from the first one. The red light makes the galaxy look pretty.

This here is an interesting ringed Icy Body. What made it interesting was the thin outer and inner rings, giving it the appearance of a black ring. Henceforth known as "Black Ice". :p

Just a pretty cool site to explore if ever you decide to head this way.
Planetary landings are possible at a comfortable 033G and a there's a low temp diamond hotspot one of the rings to boot.

The system itself is made up of a Class M star and Class T dwarf, 3 HMC's, 2 Class I gas giants and a series of icy bodies.

System: LYSOOSMS VY-X B15-9
Icy Body: LYSOOSMS VY-X B15-9 A 6 A
Distance from main star: 1,378.27LS
Distance from Omega Mining Operation: 2568.53LY
Distance from Conflux Delta Site: 1649.91LY

Iam new, so feel free to delete this post. I came across "Byeia Eurk BB-B b41-5 A 1" and looks like I was the first to scan it, according to EDSM.net.
I'am not sure if this is considered a POI though? There were 3 geological spots on the planet and the #1 location that I visited looked like this... I found some Polonium there aswell.

Hello, GMP staff member here.

For submissions, we kindly ask you format them this way when you submit:

Name: (Name of your entry after checking the naming stipulations mentioned above)
Game map search ref: (Provide the exact procedural name of the POI you discovered - if its a nebula choose a system within the nebula to act as its reference location)
Description: (Write a short description of what you found)
Screenshot reference: (Provide the post # or link of where your screenshot or video of your POI can be found - it is a big help if you provide the image resized or cropped to a with of 640 pixels. If this is not possible for you just submit the image anyways and we will do it for you. But it does save us a lot of time if you have done it yourself)

Further guidelines:

Candidate entries should be something unique, or rare (i.e. a statistical record breaker if submitting a particular star or planet), or something visually interesting, or a place of historical interest (for example the first encounter with an alien species).

Entries with an interesting story behind them will be welcome too.

No renaming of real life places or FD named places (we're only replacing procedural names).

In the spirit of exploration your entry should be something you've visited personally and haven't just found by simply playing with the map whilst sat in a station somewhere (proof via screenshots or video would be appreciated).

Only choose names that fit within the spirit of the game (i.e. no silly phrases, or POIs named after your commander, or anything too long). Greek & Latin names are often used but for ideas checkout the real life astronomical naming conventions. Or choose something completely different if you prefer, as long as its sensible and not like this.

Write a short description of the POI you visited.

Provide the correct procedural in-game system name of the location so players who may want to visit it can pinpoint it on the map.

Since this project is not sanctioned by FD, all submissions should be considered as player created fiction only. If FD rename any in-game POIs for whatever reason, the GMP will follow suit and rename entries to whatever FD do.

Please bear in mind that the GMP team update entries and EDSM in their spare time so on the whole we will use this thread for the vast majority of entries. Its unpractical and too time-consuming to scour other threads for POI names explorers have made mention of. Therefore all submissions are treated in the chronological order they were submitted to this thread, regardless on whether the person submitting the entry has in-game 'tagged' it or not.

A good submission with a good description of why the location is unique is much more likely to be considered for approval as a point of interest.

A binary pair of water worlds in the Pyramoe SS-O B37-3 system. Bodies 1 and 2, a short hop from the star. One has an oxygen-rich atmosphere, the other CO2. All the mythological names I could think of are probably already taken much closer to home, so I'm calling them The Wet Bandits: Harry (1) and Marv (2). :p If that's too silly, Benthic and Pelagic.

Howdy, first post here but I've been playing Elite for a while, I'm a lot more active on the Steam Forums for convenience sake, I shopped this submission there, I wasn't particularly sure it was worth submitting, but some people informed me it's such an unlikely oddity of Stellar Forge it's probably worth sending in:

Name: Roche's Waltz

Galaxy Map Reference: EAEMBIE RT-Q D5-O A 1 (Approximately 2,100 LY from Waypoint 3, straight down, requires some ships to Jumponium or Neutron Boost, I got there in Cutter with less than 40LY while mapping Red Supergiants.

Description: A High-mass High metal content world inside the exclusion zone (1.68LS) of a White Dwarf star, creating incredible eclipses. The planet is so far within the exclusion zone, it cannot be probed. (Closest approach is approximately 0.80LS). The planet completes an entire orbit around the star in about two real hours. So fast in fact, it can be observed with casual observation. It may just be my imagination too, but it seems to slightly elongated out of a perfect sphere shape, and more like an egg.

Just found two moon that are very close to each other, possibly colliding at time, both orbiting a Ammonia GG in the system Gria Drye VA-C d14-21.
Both moons have geysers.

View from afar:

2019-01-31 17-03-44 Gria Drye VA-C d14-21.png

View from the first moon, geyser in-front of the ship:

And view from the other moon:

And finnaly the stats for the two moons, anyone able to judge if they will collide? They are tidally locked but i does look like there's not enough room in the orbit for both in the 2nd image above.

Just found a Notable Stellar Phenomena. Contains Rubeum Metalic Crystals and Solid Mineral Spheres. Location is Pyramoe XL-T b49-2 - between Omega and Eagle Nebula. There is also Water Worlds nearby. It's not very visual but you know... it still counts ;).

Silicate Vapor Fumarole on Nyeajaae RK-Z b32-4 1
Silicate vapor geysers on high metal content world approx 5ls from entry star

Multiple geological sites in system - One planet (3 A) has 50 sites alone

Name: Ringed Helium Sky
Game map search ref: Nyeajaae WQ-C d13-19 B 6
Description: Ringed earth like world, orbiting a ringed helium rich gas giant, in close enough proximity so the view is spectacular. Rare find too.

I would like to submit this planetary POI: the family of planets
Found in the Nyeajoa JI-D c15-64 system, a very close group of three landable planets, one with geological locations and rings. They are also really close to the main star.
The smallest planet is really tiny, with a radius of just 187 km.
