I think people have been waiting for this since planet coaster. But nothing has ever been mentioned I’ve often heard x12 would make the game run better then 11 so I’m surprised they haven’t.

and wow some think must have change i am get 50 to 60 fps in drx11 at ultra settion on a rx580 and 2600x which is at 50% usage in all core wow

Mmppoltun I agree so far direct 11 has been good with me also so far I’ve had great frame rates without issues. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have direct 12 as a option for some tho.

I wanna fill the 1km^2 franchise map with 10,000 guests and maybe 500 animals.

I feel like my i9 9900k 32GB rtx2080 system should have handled something like that but I’m already lowered to 23-28fps on 6800+ guests and 250+ animals on 1/6 of the map...

this game does allow 10,000 guests so I wonder what type of machine Frontier was using to get 30+fps (I mean they are providing options that are playable right)

Truthfully I don’t know I know your specs are awesome. Wish I had those lol. Anyway I’ve always heard pc and pz will make even the beat pc sweat a little on a big map with everything factored in. I know deladysigner commented on how anymore added to her huge sandbox zoo would have made her game unplayable. Also sdanwolf builds without guests to keep his FPS up and I know his specs are very similar to yours. But I get it guests are a part of the game so you shouldn’t have to limit or not use them. But yeah it is probably time to test direct12 for those who want it.

I'm not completely sure about it, but isn't DirectX 12 only available for Windows 10?
If it is like this, I'm happy it uses DirectX 11 because Windows 10 is absolute Trash with a lot of Bugs and it even killed my old Harddrive which was new when it happened. I'm happy to be able to play Planet Zoo on Windows 7

Yup there are quite a few of us who, for one reason or another, prefer to stay with Win7. So if Frontier ever decides to add DX12, I hope they keep DX11 in the game as an option.
