Not so much as a newcomer, but more of a returning player and just finding out it has a lore.
Long story short, I have been extensively reading up on Elite's lore (and it has SO much, very much interesting). My sources were mostly from Wiki (as I do not know what I'm searching for, just following up articles and diving into more and searching for things I read but did not understand).
There has been so many things I've missed, but in readings there seems to be places or sites I can visit to experience the aftermath, or immerse myself in lore by visiting those places. Such as "Jameson Crashsite", Barnacles, and I even just finished reading about the "Ghost" ship.
Every now and then I'd hop into reddit/FD forums to read anything I missed, and I'm planning a few trips.
Could some kind CMDR point out some places that has a story to visit? I've read about the data logs on a megaship, and Dav's hope.
But where do players know where to visit? Is there a place to read about this? Or is there a mission I could take to tell me to visit such places?
I feel I'm lost, but I also feel I missed out so much that I do not know where to go.
I have a friend who recently joined me in the game, if he just knows 20% of what I know about the lore and the CG that happened (like Gnosis and thargoid attacks in nebula) I'm confident he'll be hooked. I got more hooked when I understand the lore, and I know I only covered maybe 60%.

- Where can I read up more of game's lore that happened and can experience it (like specific planets that had a story behind, or an area where it has data etc..)
