Earn up to 24p Per Week with ARX

Can't complain about earning a free paint job after playing the game a few months. I like that you will soon be able to try out paint jobs and ship kits from the store before you buy.

I can't speak for the gaming community at large, but I don't need further incentive to play a game I want to play, and don't feel that non-gameplay incentives for play result in better games.
Fair play. I suppose I'm old school wherein everything was obtainable in-game upon purchase of said game. Mods provided further flexibility.

At 400Arx/week and 5000Arx=£3, the simplest calculations show that it'd take over 25 years to earn access to all of Elite Dangerous' cosmetics.

An easy win became a marketing nightmare.

I'm going to split the difference here and say it's probably neither a target nor a trivial token, but more along the lines of a supplemental reward.

Also a fair guess. Would make it a little dead on arrival though, you can't get anything with it what's the point.

Maybe they'll do something interesting like the new 1/6 paint jobs you can get in a few weeks, but if you want anything "deluxe" like a covas or ship kit its not practical unless you pay for it. The holiday skins were priced one skin for for a regular 6 pack so they should be payment inclined too.

Im glad im happily done with cosmetics over 4 accounts. I bought the type 10 ship kit 3 times even. That's the most stupid thing i've done. From being quite keen on the cosmetics at one point though the new preview abilities are a great addition.

This kinda reminds me of those free phones that you can buy, and then you pay back the price monthly for three years. But this time, it's backwards.

Wanna fly from LA to NY, ya better cough off up some coin. Whats that? You think the price is too much? Well you can walk. Oh... you dont want to walk because it is way too far? Well aren't you lazy and cheap, dont let the door hit you on the way out.

Maybe they forgot a 0 digit to the 400 and it should be 4000? Or perhaps they mean 400 a day instead of 400 per week? I mean, using common sense the official numbers must be wrong.

But oh wait! Dang it! We are at Frontier! Common sense is unavailable here, it got lost in the instance system chaos!

lol, if i told you once...

Frontier seem quite reluctant to actually provide the information that will enable us to work out how good a deal we're getting.
Which is providing the information in and if itself surely ? . IF it was going to be PC users getting a better deal surely they would be screaming about it.?

Indeed it is a difficult one I guess . ED is not a game we own it is a live service with running costs. I miss the old days where unlocking stuff in game provided gameplay (good example of this in ED is the thargoid bobblehead) I will enjoy getting that more than anything you can buy out of game with money.

If you want an MMO out of the game I guess it is worth it, if not then it is quite a big loss to the game (I remember looking to buy 2nd hand ships in 1st encounters specifically due to paint job)
