Earn up to 24p Per Week with ARX

What is the 24p mentioned in the title? Does it by chance mean 24 pents or ~ .31 cents US?

It's such a small amount of money I'm not sure it really matters what currency it's in, the point stands ;)

Has it really been six months now?

I've earned (easily) the weekly 400ARX every single week apart from that first single day, and I earned every Christmas bonus because I played every day anyway.

The free ARX really was a nice gesture that has so far got me a Python Horus paint job (the red one) and a matching military red SRV skin, and the Python wireframe bobblehead (I'm saving for the FDL one next). I don't buy ARX & have never felt pressured to, I don't browse the gaudy shop. But I can preview stuff from the livery section of outfitting in an unobtrusive, non-pushy way.

So it's all good as far as I'm concerned :)

I don't like ARX!

Frankly, I prefer the good ol days when I paint job were a reasonable price in real money (or points for consoles) and had nice sales every three months or so. That kept me coming back and spending real money.

If Frontier would make 400 more ARX earn-able per week, in CQC/Arena and it had the effect of enlivening Arena just a little, I might change my mind!

The cosmetics shop just had a 40% off sale: it started at the end of Feb and lasted around a week. Paintjobs, shipkits, etc were nicely discounted, so more cosmetic bang for your in-game-earned ARX.

Yeah I saw that, there was nothing I wanted. Nice idea in theory though, maybe next time something will tempt me ;)

It's cute how this appears to be a deal.... but it's not.

I bought the entire Krait Phantom Salvage paint pack in May '19 for $4 NOT ON SALE

The same paint pack today would cost over $10 if I bought the smallest ARX pack to cover the cost.

During the 40% off "Sale" the same pack was still over $6 in ARX

I can see why some would think 40% off a nearly triple increase in price is a good deal, though. 40% off 15,000 Braben bucks does look like a good deal, until you do the real math and compare it to values from less than 6 months ago.

The above are facts... however, below is diabolical speculation from the mind of an evil businessman

Free ARX... aren't free... the massive price increases for the same... uh... products?... are covering the losses FDev would have incurred giving away ARX if they hadn't increased prices. Think of it as a luxury tax on those who spend money to cover those who don't. This isn't some generous "gift" FDev is giving to us all. Manipulating their funny money is one way of ensuring the luxury tax is always enough to cover any lost revenue from the "subsidized" ARX given away.

Anyways... flame on flamers

I too like to buy a multipack of products just so can enjoy the single item i wanted from the pack. If stores ever let me just get the individual items i want, and even at no cost because i'm a regular, well... i'm gonna get angry.

Cut him some slack. He just learned Star Citizen is going to make you have to have your guy eat every handful of hours or you starve to death.

I eagerly await the market stalls on seedy stations where peddlers shout bargains on Taqaylean manara stricks, 3 for 10 units!

The grandeur, the immersion..

The sheer fidelity of it all..

It's awe inspiring.

The only thing that could make it better is for among them to stand a conspicuously shady-looking and yet mysteriosuly immaculately well-dressed fellow quietly keeping company a glowing sign with two single logos on it. One, the instantly recognizable depiction of an Archanumextra, a food item of immense satisfaction, said to be composed of flavours approaching the height of what is possible in the realms of the appetizing; the stuff of gourmets across the stars, a rarity among the rarest imports, impossible to recreate in even passing facsimile, acquirable only by talented archaeologists and fiercely controlled by a single privately-owned corporation, it is said to stop hunger for an entire week with a single serving. Two, the picture of Star Citizen's gosh darn premium currency.

What on earth are you on about?

I'm okay with this considering I can now just buy the PJ I'm going to use instead of the whole pack with several redundant ones.
