Release ED-Intelligent Boardcomputer Extension

Seems that there's a subvariant of RegultedNoise created by someone else
which allows EDDN with non-english language. This never should happen.
:(

{ text = {"header": {"softwareVersion": "v1.84", "gatewayTimestamp": "2015-04-18T20:05:08.396734", "softwareName": "RegulatedNoise", "uploaderID": "e163ba8a-1067-44ab-a930-bdc1c9f24c90"}, "$schemaRef": "http://schemas.elite-markets.net/eddn/commodity/1", "message": {"buyPrice": 0, "timestamp": "2015-04-18T22:04:00", "stationStock": 0, "systemName": "Ekonir", "stationName": "Morey Vision", "demand": 0, "sellPrice": 175, "itemName": "Cartouches Alimentaires"}} }

It still has the id "v1.84", if my version will upload something the id will be "v1.84_0.15"

EDIT:
I saw another comm string in the logs :
{ text = {"header": {"softwareVersion": "0.5.4.1", "gatewayTimestamp": "2015-04-18T19:03:24.841919", "softwareName": "EliteOCR", "uploaderID": "EOa4cf83b2"}, "$schemaRef": "http://schemas.elite-markets.net/eddn/commodity/1", "message": {"buyPrice": 94, "timestamp": "2015-04-18T18:19:01+00:00", "stationStock": 786416, "systemName": "Eravate", "stationName": "Cleve Hub", "demand": 0, "sellPrice": 89, "itemName": "Wasserstoff-Treibstoff", "supplyLevel": "High"}} }

seems that not only this special RN variant is the problem - there also must be a EliteOCR variant
which allows EDDN upload in non-english :(

I must install a language filter for EDDN import as soon as possible

Nice. Great tool. I love the option of using it as a personal trade planner.

One question though. What files should I save to backup my local information?

  • AutoSave.csv (market data, scanned and EDDN)
  • Calibration.txt (calibration data)
  • CommandersLogAutoSave.xml (Commander' Log)
  • RegulatedNoiseSettings.xml (general RN settings)
  • Data\commodities.xml (known commodity names)
  • Data\commodities_RN.json(extended commodity info with plausibility data - based on commodities.json)
  • Data\StationHistory.json (list of visited stations)
  • Data\systems_own.json(data of self entered system data, not in use at the moment, maybe in v0.16)
  • Data\stations_own.json(data of self entered station data, not in use at the moment, maybe in v0.16)

Cool - I am a great fan of RegulatedNoise - but currently I am 15K out and exploring. Once I get back I'll be all over this :)

Thanks for continuing to develop this great tool.

Thanks very much for the list. I wouldn't want to lose the data I've accumulated.

new release is out:
Code:
1.84_0.16
   * translating of EDDN messages, EDDN now possible with other languages than english
   * fixed a bug in the internal translating logic
   * added a plausibility filter to the incoming EDDN logic
   * added last EDDB data files

should be the end of the EDDN data garbage and you can use EDDN now with german or french, too

great , i assume this wont fix the dead data already received i have ,, anything i can do about that

also just noticed in station - station , if you use max distance,(best round route distance selector) it dose not do anything , unless i have the top boxs selected "only inc stations within

No, you have to clean this manually .
Go into "Price Analysis"->"By Commodity" and delete the entries with wrong names.

The other question:
I can' explain because I can' reproduce this behaviour.
Can you post a screenshot of the settings when nothing comes out. ?

oh i get a list produced , just far to many for the distance i set,

if blue is not selected , but yellow is set to 10ly , i get a huge list ,,
if blue IS selected , then i get the correct amount of stations in list ,,

this could be how it should work i don't know , just mentioning what i see

1.png

You have select "only stations within 25 ly around your current position". This can only be a few (look for
the numer into a dropdown - there are only those stations left which relating to this setting)

AND

then you've selected "max Trip Distance = 10ly"

You getting no results because around 25ly there are no 2 stations with a maximum distance between the systems of 10 ly.
Set the "Max. Trip Distance" to 25 or something similar OR increase the search radius from 25 ly to 50 or more ly
until you have some results.

EDIT:
The blue settings are general for filtering stations (for all four sub tabs, including round trip calclation)
The yellow settings are additional filters for the round trip calclation, only.

ok ,, if "only inc stations within NOT SELECTED ,, but best round trip IS selected to 10ly ,, you see i get a huge list 145 stations on this test ,, mmmm the 1st 15 stations in list are certainly not within 10 lys ,, i know Te uria is 85 lys away ?????

- - - Updated - - -

argh am i looking at this wrong ,, the round trip list is big but all list are within 10ly distance of each other , not from current position ???

;)

btw: I recommend to disable "Take Distance Into Account". It's not really useful as a default setting.

Help files

Maybe others with good knowledge of RN functions , can help out DUKE , with the README HELP FILES examples videos screenshots

The functionally of Dukes's RN :) , has improved, so much , and using RN to its fullest potential , needs the input of its users , so all bases are covered, and everything is explained , simply and effectively.

Suggestion A QUICK STARTERS GUIDE

how to edit
how to OCR
how to use the settings
how to trade

I would be pleased - I don't think I have the time for it...
