ED used to immersive, now it's a shop front.

FD, I don't mind you trying to sell things, but why, oh why, is the STORE option, on the main system screen now in bright BLUE ?

As it's the only blue area on the screen It is very distracting. I am now looking for a screen overlay, in traditional orange, to cover it up.
Err... so.... where is it? >.>

Unfortunately, FDev seem to have a habit of insisting that new stuff takes pride of place in the UI.

Same thing with holo-me taking up UI real-estate in the station menu and, well, pretty much everything on the "home" tab of the right-HUD.

I get that FDev want to draw attention to new features but could they not just put this stuff somewhere appropriate and then mark it with an exclamation mark until you look at it, similar to what they do with controls?

Yeah... It's trivial and all but all these "small" things chew away my enthusiasm for this great game bit by bit.

That horribly stupid store button in the freakin' station menu (why not in the ESC menu together with the "buy Arx" option?!?), the background tinting that goes against the most basic idea of realistic lighting in space, the button prompts...

So much effort has been put into new features and all the cool things the game now does, only to be diminished by those seemingly trivial design decisions that make no sense whatsoever in a game with simulation roots.

I mean, my game just told to to "Press to disengage" ... (because it didn't recognize the key I bound)

I get that the update is about the new player experience, and button prompts might be a good thing for the first two days, but after that?!? Leaving those in by default and implementing store buttons in else immersive ingame assets really doesn't show much love for us players, who are with the game for a very long time now and love it for its realistic approach on space travelling and immersive simulation.

OK... so I'm guessing people mean this button?

... I guess it's normally blue or something?

Personally I don't mind if it's a different colour (if it's the blue I'm thinking of, see below). Makes it clear that I want to ignore it compared to the rest of the hud.

Agree whole heartedly. The "arcade" nature is on the rise. The key press reminder of how to start my engines on any planet surface drove me crazy already and I wanted it gone, now every time I drop I am going to deal with it as well. This is going to drive me nuts like the other cartoon-like notifications on the info panel. It's bad when they seem to be aiming for a look somewhere between No Man's Sky fantasy land look and the bleak lack of color in Star Citizen. All I wanted was a crossover of Elite and Space Engine. Not Elite: Mario...

Come on, a store button in the game's main menu isn't that terrible... It's not disruptive like if it was for instance in the cockpit blinking while you travel in supercruise.. Not something to actually disturb any immersions, there's also an options button in there and a friends button.

It's just a main menu, your game session hasn't even started yet...

edit: nevermind, just realized the store button is also inside the game (n)

Was also bothered by this. Tone it down, FD!
Not a fan at all, really takes me out of the game world, was already unhappy with holome right in front.

Don't worry guys, FDEV will fix this very soon... Here is a preview of the next patch
