[CLOSED] EDDB - a site about systems, stations, commodities and trade routes in Elite: Dangerous.

Either I am not using your tools right or somethings wrong with the Data your tool gets, cause everytime I use a Route "recommended" by your tool, it seems to show 30% more Profit than I actually make. I get then the Price cant be 100% accruate but 200k Profit on a trip where your Tool shows 2million is a bit odd

... and don't forget the "bulk tax" that F D introduced. If you have in your hold more than 25% of the "demand" figure in the market then the price decreases rapidly, right down to galactic average I think.

A system state change will also affect prices

It just took me 3 tries to get the max sale price on some Palladium I was trying to sell

Checking the age of the report and the demand level can help identify good candidates for getting the max price

I've just made a first visit to an Odyssey settlement with a large landing pad, but I see that when EDDB added it it was listed with a small pad. It seems that the system may be making assumptions - though I don't see a contradiction in my log:

It is unkown how to determine the maximum landingpad size of the new settlements. As a precaution all new settlements are set to small.

Hello! o7. Potential bug report:

So, I did a search for selenium near my current location.

I enter the top result in the GalMap and jump to system 2MASS J05350642-0527048, looking for body 2MASS J05350642-0527048 2 e a.

Tuns out I jumped to an entirely different system with the same name. I enter the system name in System Search and there's three different systems with the same name, all with different bodies.

However, the GalMap only recognizes the one system where I am now.

I double-checked using Spansh system search and it too shows three different systems with same name, all with different bodies.

How can this be?

This might be too much of an ask but ... Is it possible to completely hide / ignore / not actually show ANYWHERE - Oddity settlements if I select to not use them? It is possibly worse than the spamming of system selection drop-down where all the stupid fleet carriers are listed since oddities are everywhere and fleeties sometimes are not.

Maybe it would be possible to have Horizons-only version (pages)?

I love EDDB but this Oddity settlement spam in the drop-downs is very disheartening.

o7. Not really used EDDB before, have used Inara. I update Inara regularly as I trade specialised commodities on my carrier. Thought I would investigate EDDB further and found that my fleet carriers commodities market is not shown on there.
It just lists imports and exports as none.
Does EDDB only register PC gamers and will never show because I am on Xbox?
If it does register Xbox player owned fleet carriers, is there a way I have to upload the data manually?
Or is something not working right?

Thank you for any help in advance.

If you just started using the site you have to WAIT ages for the final old day data to be uploaded on the dashboard of the site...
Its not real time... the site updates EDDN one session at a time and displays the session thats being updated..
When you first start using the site it imports Weeks old info first... It will only update the current day data when Zero other older days entry are remaining to be completed...

EDDB != EDSM
Yep consoles have only ever been able to upload FC data via EDSM to EDDN which updates Inara or EDDB..
Does not matter if you use Inara or EDDB the only way they are FC updates in real time to any site is via EDSM for consoles...
Inara imports does not update EDDN...

I'd like to report a body that is very much landable with 4 Bio's on the surface but EDDB reports it as not.
Can I get this corrected here?

Thanks

Is there a way to tell when the last reported commodity sell price update was? It’s be great, at least in this view, if it said “Last reported 3H ago…” etc. I mean maybe it does already and I’m. Not looking this up right?

Scroll down the Page has Demand and age right below it on the same page when using a proper browser device...
You will need demand as well. Age is useless with out the demand number as if demand is 0-500 tons you wont get that price even with just 10 tons on ship...

Dont expect Updates for mobile browsers...
On PC power bowser the info is directly below in the top 10 including demand numbers which is required...

Thanks! I should have probably thought to try the full desktop page, before posting this. I do exclusively use my phone, while playing.

Because that is actually a thing, in the 2MASS area I have been to 2 different systems with the same name, they do actually exist but the galmap of course can only find the first one.

I am trying to understand the prices as they are listed in Commodities on EDDB. For instance, right now if you go to Commodities and sort by "Sell", it shows a Monazite price of 835,947. But when you click on Monazite, it says the maximum sell price is 677,636.

Why are the two different? Shouldn't "Sell" on the Commodities page list the same price for Monazite as the Maximum Sell Price on the Monazite page?

Thanks for any insights anyone has.

it's the highest reported sell price since x (basically the maximum you could have gotten since the last time eddb reset that price, around galactic average updates or other updates would be my guess)

That's because the Monazite page doesn't include Odyssey settlements the overview does. Both do not include fleet carriers.
