Release EDDiscovery 18.X is now out! New modules panel upgrade and Engineering

For some reason the new version is scaled significantly larger than before, meaning that everything is bigger and thus less stuff fits in the same space. What's the deal with that? And is there a setting to make it scaled smaller once again?
This. And can't they do something with the overall 1980's Amiga interface, with its gaudy 8 bit icons? Makes me hate using it, but it does come in handy at times.

I'm not sure how much work it would entail to create a new look and feel to the tool. I believe it's created and maintained pretty much off the developer's own back, free of charge and a hobby.

I have yet to try it but I will do so at some point today.

I think they are charming. Anyway, the sudden scaling level is unbearable. Nothing fits on my secondary (1080p) screen comfortably anymore.

I'm assuming this was an accidental misconfiguration of the published app rather than intentional. Please provide a fix, or instructions on how to restore the previous scaling.

I agree, a redesigning would be lots of work and by no means am I demeaning a free tool. An interface like EDCopilot and others, that match the in-game UI, would give it a nice boost for immersion. I would love a second monitor for all these tools, I just don't have the space.

Settings - Theme: There you can choose a theme with the scaling of your liking. You also might edit a theme and save it.

I use EDD as my main app - it is absolutely essential for me!

I noticed the scaling too right away but didn't find any settings. The Amiga look is not even that bad, but the icons could use a little modernization. Most of them are too small and I can't tell what they are supposed to represent. I usually don't like the "flat" look of new UI's but EDD might benefit from it.

No. If you don't like the icons on the history panel, hide the column. I like them.

If you don't feel free to redraw the 1052 images present in the current code.

Maybe someone could contribute new icons? They could be offered at least as an alternative even if they don't outright replace the current ones.
We have that system, someone did some, but they did not keep up with the additions. I have enough to do without supporting extra work with different icons sets.

Could you chill a bit? We are all friends here. I'm not speaking out of malice or sense of entitlement. I am just writing suggestions. There's no need for an attitude.

That's normal. First it looks which entries belong to your selected commander, then it actually processes then.
Limit the time to load in the settings panel if you're annoyed by it.
Actually, I was just wondering...

I've limited the timeframe to load from the past 7 days. However, might I suggest an option to load just the past 24 hours?

If that option is already there, I apologise - I couldn't see it.

Something is still funny with the font size. I've changed it from 12pt to 10pt, and the main windows looks like it used to again. However now the text in the new version notes is tiny.

I'm also getting this:
DLLs failed to load: C:\Users\Dirk\AppData\Local\EDDiscovery\DLL\EDMCHarness.dll: PY Harness requires a more recent host program

And just for maintenance:
*** Unknown Module { "corsair_shipkitb_bumper1", new ShipModule(-1,ShipModule.ModuleTypes.VanityType,"Corsair Ship Kit B Bumper 1") }, - this is item unknown to EDD, but IT WILL not affect operation of the program. It would be nice to report it to us so we can add it to known module lists
